# Native Speakers Needed for Voice Recording Project — en-US, en-ES, en-IN (40 Spots per Locale) ## Project Overview We're recruiting native/fluent speakers to record short voice samples that help build better speech technology. This is a one-time recording session (about 20–30 minutes total, including setup) that you complete on your own device, in your own quiet space. **We need 40 participants for EACH of the following locales:** - **en-US** (American English) - **en-ES** (Spanish, Spain) - **en-IN** (Indian English) ## What the Session Involves - You'll respond to **75 prompts** (questions/topics), answered out loud in your own words — never reading from a script. - Prompts come in **groups of 15** — finish each group in one continuous run before moving to the next. - Each prompt gets its **own separate recording file** (one answer, one file). - Total speaking time is about **7.5 minutes** — this is your target and maximum. - Each answer should be **6–10 seconds long**, a full natural sentence (or a couple of sentences), spoken like you're talking to a real person. ## Technical Requirements - **Device:** Your own phone, tablet, or computer — use the SAME device for the entire session - **Format:** WAV (PCM), 16,000 Hz, 16-bit, mono — MP3/M4A/AAC/stereo files are automatically rejected - **No Bluetooth or wireless mics/earbuds** — built-in mic or wired mic only - **Quiet indoor room**, same room for the whole session — no TV, music, pets, or other people audible - **No editing whatsoever** — no trimming, filters, noise reduction, or format conversion after recording - Speak in your own **natural, authentic accent** — don't put one on or exaggerate it ## Who We're Looking For - Native or highly fluent speakers of American English, Spanish (Spain), or Indian English - Comfortable speaking naturally and conversationally (not reading a script) - Access to a quiet room and a decent built-in or wired microphone - Able to complete the full session (75 prompts) in one sitting ## Payment **$11 USD per speaker**, for delivery of up to 7.5 minutes of qualifying audio (75 prompts, one session).
