Native Swedish E-commerce Localization Specialist & Copywriter

We are looking for a native Swedish e-commerce localization specialist to review and improve our Swedish fashion webshop. Our webshop has already been translated into Swedish. However, we suspect that some texts may sound unnatural, overly literal or machine-translated. This could negatively affect customer trust and our conversion rate. We do not need a basic translator. We are looking for someone who understands Swedish language, culture and e-commerce, and who can make our webshop feel as if it was originally created by a Swedish company. ABOUT THE PROJECT You will review our complete webshop from the perspective of a Swedish customer. You will correct mistakes, rewrite unnatural content and identify anything that could make the store feel foreign or untrustworthy. SCOPE OF WORK • Review the complete webshop in Swedish • Correct spelling, grammar and punctuation • Rewrite unnatural or machine-translated sentences • Improve product titles and product descriptions • Review the homepage and promotional banners • Review menus, collection names, buttons and filters • Review shipping, returns, payment and customer service pages • Review size guides and other customer information • Check whether our tone of voice is consistent • Check Swedish price, currency and discount formatting • Check terminology, compound words and capitalisation • Identify language that could reduce trust or conversions • Suggest improvements based on Swedish e-commerce conventions • Make all texts sound natural to native Swedish customers OUR MAIN GOAL The final webshop should feel: • Completely natural in Swedish • Professional and trustworthy • Clear and easy to understand • Appropriate for the Swedish fashion market • Written by a native Swedish company rather than translated from another language REQUIREMENTS • You must be a native Swedish speaker • Excellent Swedish writing and proofreading skills • Experience with e-commerce localization or copywriting • Understanding of Swedish online shopping habits • Strong attention to detail • Ability to explain why important changes are necessary • Experience with fashion e-commerce is preferred • Experience with Shopify is preferred • Conversion-focused copywriting experience is an advantage DELIVERABLES • A complete review of the webshop • Corrected and improved Swedish copy that is ready to publish • A clearly structured overview of all recommended changes • A short summary of the most important language, trust and conversion issues • Direct implementation in Shopify if agreed upon HOW TO APPLY Please include the following information in your application: • Confirm that Swedish is your native language • Describe your relevant localization or e-commerce experience • Share examples of Swedish websites or copy you have worked on • Let us know whether you have experience with Shopify • Let us know whether you can implement the changes directly • Provide your estimated price and timeline for reviewing a complete webshop Please start your application with the word “Hej” so we know you have read the full description.
