Native Thai (Thailand) Speakers – Speech Recording + Verbatim Transcription & ITN Annotation

We are seeking native Thai (Thailand) speakers for a two-part speech data project. Part 1 involves recording short sentences from pre-provided scripts to help improve AI speech recognition systems. Part 2 involves listening to recorded audio and producing verbatim transcriptions with ITN (Inverse Text Normalization) annotations according to the provided guidelines. Candidates may be assigned to one or both parts depending on their skills and availability. All submitted work undergoes a Quality Assurance (QA) review, and any rejected tasks must be corrected and resubmitted based on reviewer feedback. Part 1 – Speech Recording Responsibilities: Read and record pre-provided sentences in Thai clearly and naturally. Record in a quiet environment with no background noise. Follow instructions for reading scripts accurately (no skipping, no improvising). Follow the provided file naming and format conventions. Re-record any files flagged during QA. Requirements: Native Thai speaker (Thailand). Quiet environment for high-quality recordings. Clear and natural pronunciation. Ability to use a computer or smartphone to record audio. Audio recorded at 8 kHz, 16 kHz, or 48 kHz in the specified format. Part 2 – Verbatim Transcription + ITN Annotation Responsibilities: Listen to audio recordings carefully. Produce accurate verbatim transcriptions in Thai. Apply ITN annotations according to the project guidelines. Label filler words, hesitations, repetitions, and non-speech events where applicable. Perform a self-QA review before submission. Address reviewer feedback and complete rework if required. Requirements: Native Thai speaker (Thailand). Excellent listening and writing skills in Thai. Strong attention to detail. Ability to follow detailed annotation guidelines. Previous transcription or annotation experience preferred but not mandatory. Project Details Locale: th-TH (Thai – Thailand) Tasks: Sentence recording; Verbatim Transcription + ITN Annotation Platform: Internal recording and annotation tool (no external software required) Batch Size: Each transcription batch consists of 400 audio tasks Duration: Short sessions, flexible working hours QA Process: Every submitted batch undergoes QA review. Payment is processed after the batch successfully passes QA. Rework may be required if quality issues are identified. Training: Detailed training and annotation guidelines will be provided before project commencement. Confidentiality: All recordings and transcriptions are confidential and for internal research use only. Payment Terms (Please Read Carefully) Payment is made per completed batch, only after the batch passes QA review. Rework required to fix quality issues is not paid separately. Correcting rejected tasks is considered part of delivering the batch, and no additional payment will be issued for rework. If the contract is ended mid-batch — whether by the freelancer or by us — any partially completed work in that batch will not be paid. Payment applies only to fully completed, QA-approved batches.
