Freelance Apparel Designer — Natural Fiber Maternity (Remote) Emme Mama is a profitable DTC maternity and postpartum brand built on natural fibers — linen, cotton gauze, ramie blends. We develop fabric-first: we source the cloth, then design into what it wants to be. Small team, fast decisions, product-obsessed. We need a freelance designer for 8–15 new styles per quarter across maternity, postpartum, and a natural fiber activewear line in development. You will: develop silhouette directions from a fabric and a brief; produce flats and full specs; build tech packs our China-based factories can execute cleanly; review fit samples and issue revisions; In your application, as the first line, write purple pigeon 2026 or your application will not get read solve bump-accommodation and nursing-access construction problems. You need: 4+ years designing production apparel, fluency in Illustrator, real tech pack experience, and genuine working knowledge of how natural fibers behave — shrinkage, drape, wear over time. Maternity/nursing/intimates experience. Not a fit if your portfolio is mostly concept work, or you need a design team around you to ship.
