NetSuite Administrator / SuiteScript Developer for ERP Customization

We're a NetSuite consulting practice looking for a skilled NetSuite functional-technical professional for a small, well-scoped project — with strong potential for ongoing part-time work if it's a good fit. One of our clients — a wholesale distributor running NetSuite OneWorld across 10 warehouse locations — needs order-entry staff to see item availability across all locations while building a Quote or Sales Order, without leaving the transaction. Today they have to open the item record in a separate browser tab to check stock per location, which is slow and easy to get wrong. We want a clean, low-touch, on-demand way to surface per-location availability right from the transaction line. Important context. Their staff is largely non-technical, so the solution has to be dead simple: understandable with a one-sentence explanation, display-only (it must never change inventory or the order), and it must never risk losing unsaved order data. What you'll do: - Review the requirements we provide and confirm your understanding. - Propose a solution approach/design — we'll align on it together before any build. - Implement it in a NetSuite sandbox using SuiteScript 2.x, following clean, documented, maintainable standards. - Test and hand off with brief documentation. Must-have skills: - Solid NetSuite functional knowledge — especially Multi-Location Inventory, Quotes/Sales Orders, and item records. - SuiteScript 2.x (Client Script / Suitelet) — you can build a clean, user-facing customization. - Strong written English — you'll document your approach and hand off clearly. - A functional mindset: you think about the end user (here, non-technical staff) and the business process, not just the code. Nice to have: SuiteQL / saved searches; experience with NetSuite in distribution/wholesale. Engagement. Discrete paid project to start (we can do fixed-price or hourly). If it goes well, ongoing part-time analyst/development work across our client base.
