Networking Engineer

Job Overview We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer with strong expertise in Fortinet technologies to design, implement, configure, and support secure enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with FortiGate firewalls, VPNs, routing & switching, and network security best practices. This is a remote contract opportunity suitable for professionals who can work independently and troubleshoot complex networking environments. Key Responsibilities Design, configure, and maintain Fortinet-based network infrastructure. Deploy and manage FortiGate Firewalls, security policies, NAT, and firewall rules. Configure and troubleshoot Site-to-Site VPN and Remote Access VPN. Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and resolve connectivity issues. Implement network security best practices and hardening measures. Configure VLANs, routing, switching, DHCP, DNS, and network segmentation. Perform firmware upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery planning. Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and Internet connectivity issues. Prepare technical documentation, network diagrams, and configuration guides. Collaborate with IT teams during deployments and security audits.
