Newsletter Launch Project Manager — Beehiiv + Stripe Paid Subscription (GovCon Intelligence Product)
Worldwide
About us Richelli Consulting Group (RCG) is a government contracting strategy firm based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. We provide capture management, proposal development, and RFP/RFQ analysis to firms pursuing federal, state, and local contracts. For the past several months we have published a free daily "Contract Alert" on LinkedIn — an analyst-grade breakdown of Department of Defense contract awards that maps each award to concrete subcontractor opportunities. It reaches roughly 30,000 weekly impressions among federal-market vendors and BD professionals. We are converting that free content into a paid subscription product with a September 20, 2026 launch date, and we have a complete written playbook governing the transition. We need a project manager to execute it. The role You will own execution of an existing, fully documented launch plan. The strategy, pricing, product definition, and editorial voice are already decided — this is not a role where you design the offer. It is a role where you build the rails, run the countdown, and make sure nothing slips before go-live. You will report directly to the Principal Consultant and be expected to run the checklist independently, surface blockers early, and hold the deadline. What you'll do Platform build Stand up a Beehiiv account, connect Stripe, and verify payouts end to end Configure three subscription tiers plus a time-limited Founding Member offer Build a one-page subscribe/landing page with clear value proposition and pricing Test billing, email delivery, and the paywall end to end before launch — this is a hard gate, not a nice-to-have Funnel and list operations Add and maintain email opt-in CTAs across daily LinkedIn posts Open and manage the free email tier that feeds paid conversion Set up the welcome sequence for new paid members Launch campaign management Schedule and publish the announcement, pre-sale, and countdown post sequence against the runway calendar Track Founding Member sign-ups against the member cap and deadline Coordinate testimonial collection from early subscribers Support direct outreach to warm leads in the final week Post-launch operations Cut the free LinkedIn teaser from each full alert using our template, maintaining the weekday cadence without interruption Tag and maintain the searchable alert archive by agency, NAICS/PSC, and opportunity type Track open rates and engagement; flag inactive members and run the win-back sequence Deliver a weekly status report on subscribers, conversion, and churn What we're looking for Required Hands-on experience launching a paid newsletter on Beehiiv, Substack, ConvertKit, or a comparable platform — including the paid tier, not just free sends Direct Stripe setup experience: products, subscription billing, and payout verification Working hours with meaningful overlap with U.S. Central Time business hours. Our product runs on a Monday–Friday cadence and the countdown sequence is date-critical Strong written English and the judgment to edit within an established voice without rewriting it Comfort owning a checklist against a fixed deadline with minimal supervision Strongly preferred Familiarity with U.S. federal contracting terminology — SAM.gov, USASpending, NAICS and PSC codes, primes and subcontractors, contract vehicles. You do not need to be a GovCon expert, but you will be tagging an archive and cutting teasers, and getting this vocabulary wrong degrades the product LinkedIn content scheduling and analytics experience Landing page and basic funnel/conversion experience Engagement details Rate: $15–20 per hour, depending on experience Start: Immediately. Launch is September 20, 2026 Commitment: Approximately 15–20 hours per week through launch, with a lighter ongoing retainer for content operations after go-live if the fit is right Long-term potential: This is intended as an ongoing relationship, not a one-off project. The post-launch operations role continues indefinitely To apply Please answer this in your proposal — applications without an answer will not be reviewed: Describe a paid newsletter or subscription product you personally helped launch. Name the platform, what you specifically built or managed, and what the subscriber count was 30 days after launch. If you have a link, include it. Also tell us, in one or two sentences, your time zone and the hours you can reliably work against U.S. Central Time.
