Next.js + Cloudflare Engineer Needed: Harden, Finish & Launch Our New Coaching Website About the project We're replacing our long-running WordPress/Elementor site (timandjulieharris.com) with a new site that was scaffolded using AI coding tools (ChatGPT Codex + Claude Code) and is currently live on a ChatGPT Sites preview URL. The design and content are in good shape — what we need now is an experienced engineer to take it the rest of the way: audit the AI-generated code, finish the remaining integrations, and own a clean, safe production launch on our custom domain. This is not a "build me a site from scratch" job, and it's not a vibe-coding job. We need someone who can read and evaluate code someone (something) else wrote, spot what's fragile or missing, and ship it like a professional. Tech stack Next.js 16 (App Router) / React 19 Tailwind CSS 4 Drizzle ORM + Cloudflare D1 Currently deployed via ChatGPT Sites, running on Cloudflare infrastructure How this engagement is structured We're running this in two phases rather than asking for one blind bid on the whole project. The migration off ChatGPT Sites in particular is an open question until someone with real Cloudflare experience has looked at the app, so we'd rather pay for that judgment upfront than get a padded (or under-scoped) fixed quote. Phase 1 — Paid audit & plan (fixed fee, 1–2 days of work) You review the codebase and current deployment and deliver: A written findings list: security, performance, data handling, and general code quality issues, ranked by severity A clear recommendation on the ChatGPT Sites → self-hosted Cloudflare Workers migration, with your reasoning A rough estimate (hours and cost) for Phase 2, broken out by task https://tim-julie-harris-coaching.tim892593.chatgpt.site/ Phase 2 — Execution (hourly with a cap, or fixed price — your call once scope is known) Based on the Phase 1 findings, you complete the scope below. We'll agree on rate and cap/price before this phase starts. Scope of work (Phase 2) Verify and harden the D1-backed contact and coaching-lead forms Wire in GA4 and Meta Pixel (analytics were compiled out of the current build and need a rebuild with real IDs) Connect two CRM webhook endpoints Execute the migration off ChatGPT Sites to a self-hosted Cloudflare Workers deployment, if recommended in Phase 1 Own the DNS cutover from the legacy WordPress site to the new app, including a full SEO-safe redirect map from old URLs to new ones, without breaking mail delivery Cross-browser/device QA and a rollback plan for launch day Available for post-launch bug fixes during the first couple of weeks Must have Proven production experience with Next.js/React and TypeScript — not just tutorials or personal projects Hands-on experience with Cloudflare Workers/Pages, D1, and Wrangler Comfortable auditing, refactoring, and taking ownership of a codebase you didn't write, especially AI-generated code Experience with real-world DNS/domain cutovers without breaking SEO or mail delivery GA4 and Meta Pixel implementation experience A portfolio of real, launched production sites you can point to Nice to have Experience with membership/coaching or subscription-based businesses Familiarity with marketing/CRM tooling (form-to-CRM handoffs, webhook debugging) Comfortable working async with a small, non-technical team How to apply Please include: 2–3 examples of production sites you've shipped (ideally something you took from AI-assisted or early-stage code to a stable launch) A short note on how you'd approach auditing a codebase you inherited Your hourly rate, and your fixed fee for the Phase 1 audit described above
