Next.js Developer for Directory Site Build — Full Spec + Design Ready (Fixed Price)
Worldwide
I'm hiring one experienced developer (not an agency) to build the production version of FindCannabis.com — a cannabis-industry business directory with listings, state/country law guides, medical card guides, a small accessories e-commerce shop (pipes/accessories only — no THC sales), an admin console, a business-owner dashboard, and email capture. What makes this project unusual: the thinking is already done. You will receive: A fully designed, working front-end prototype (every page, tested) A written Build Spec with standing rules A Pre-Launch QA Checklist A 301 Redirects document (an existing WordPress site on this domain is indexed in Google/Bing — its SEO history must transfer; this is launch-blocking) A Claude Code playbook — I expect you to use AI coding tools to move fast; the spec is written for it A 38-item acceptance test I personally perform before final payment Tech requirements (non-negotiable, per the Build Spec): Next.js with server-side rendering (SEO is the core of this business) Structured data (schema markup) on listings and guides Bulk listing import from CSV with automated compliance scanning Google address validation on every listing entry path Payment processor built as a swappable module (processor TBD; two integration points are marked in the spec) Email platform behind a swappable adapter (MailerLite first) Event tracking Server-enforced owner/staff permissions Two standing rules you must accept in writing: No revenue feature is ever removed without my written permission. No data is ever faked or seeded to demo a feature as working. Structure: Fixed price, 3–4 milestones, each with a defined deliverable I can click through. Final payment releases when the site passes my acceptance test and QA checklist. First milestone is a small paid pilot: Next.js skeleton deployed to staging + the 301 redirect map implemented and verified. About me: Non-technical solo founder. I make fast decisions and won't change the spec on you mid-build, but I need plain-English communication. You'll deal directly with me, no committees. To apply, answer these two questions in your proposal (applications without them are declined): In 3–5 sentences: how would you implement and verify the 301 redirect map so the existing site's Google rankings transfer? Link to one Next.js site you built that's live today, and tell me what part of it you're proudest of. Budget reflects a serious build. If your bid is at the top of the range, your proposal should show why.
