Next.js to GoDaddy Website Builder Migration Specialist

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Web Developer to lead the full, end-to-end migration of our website from a custom Next.js/React framework to GoDaddy Website Builder. This project requires someone who understands custom code architectures deeply enough to extract logic, assets, and content from Next.js, but who also has hands-on experience navigating the specific constraints and capabilities of GoDaddy Website Builder. Your goal will be to rebuild the site faithfully-preserving our design, SEO value, and functionality-while setting it up so non-technical team members can easily maintain it moving forward. Responsibilities: Technical Audit: Review the current Next.js repository/site (pages, routing, dynamic content, APIs, forms, and custom components). Platform Mapping: Plan the migration strategy, mapping custom React components and page structures to GoDaddy Website Builder templates and elements. Site Reconstruction: Rebuild all pages, layouts, and visual elements in GoDaddy Website Builder while maintaining brand fidelity and mobile responsiveness. Content & Data Migration: Reformat and transfer all static and dynamic/database-driven content into GoDaddy-compatible structures. Custom Functionality Workarounds: Re-implement or find suitable native/third-party workarounds for custom logic, forms, animations, and integrations. SEO Preservation: Implement 301 redirects, replicate URL structures, transfer meta titles/descriptions, alt tags, and ensure proper sitemap submission. DNS & Hosting Cutover: Manage domain settings, DNS records, and SSL setup to ensure a smooth launch with zero downtime. QA & Cross-Browser Testing: Perform comprehensive testing across mobile, tablet, and desktop devices before go-live. Handoff & Documentation: Provide a basic guide or video walkthrough so our team can update content and maintain the site without ongoing developer support.
