Opening Title Sequence Editor – Feature Film

Independent film starring 2 Academy Award winning actors. I'm looking for an experienced editor with strong storytelling instincts to create the opening title sequence for an independent feature film. The sequence will rely heavily on authentic archival footage from approximately the late 1950s through early 1970s. I'm looking for someone who can: Research and source appropriate archival footage Advise on licensing and rights clearance Edit together a nostalgic, cinematic montage Design and integrate elegant opening credits Deliver a polished sequence suitable for a feature film The overall feeling should be nostalgic, emotional, timeless and beautifully crafted—not flashy or overly modern. Examples of archival material may include: Driver's education films Educational films Government instructional films Public information films Early color footage Mid-century Americana Vintage automobiles Highway and road footage Everyday American life from the era The ideal candidate has experience working with archival footage and understands how to create an emotionally engaging opening sequence that establishes tone before the story begins.
