Operations Manager — Field Outreach & Data Collection Network (LATAM)

We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead field outreach and data collection efforts in LATAM. The role involves managing a network of field agents, ensuring data quality, and coordinating with local stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, particularly in managing outreach and data collection projects. We run paid data-collection projects executed by networks of on-the-ground contributors, and we are expanding across Latin America. We're hiring an experienced operations project manager to build and run our LATAM contributor network — and this is a field role, not a dashboard role. **What you'll do:** - Recruit, vet, and onboard contributors and field agents across LATAM markets - Meet contributors, communities, and potential partners in person — recruitment drives, onboarding sessions, and training in key cities - Source and manage implementation partners (recording/collection studios, agencies, universities, local field firms) against a spec and a deadline - Hire, brief, and supervise field agents, including on-site oversight of collection days - Manage live data-collection projects end to end: volume targets, quality bar, timeline, and budget - Enforce quality standards so submissions pass review the first time - Be the real-time support line for contributors in the field and keep payouts accurate and fast - Build the regional playbook: sourcing channels, partner pipeline, onboarding flows, QC checklists **Requirements:** - Proven experience managing distributed field teams, gig workers, or crowdsourced data-collection operations — ideally in multiple LATAM markets - Real in-person field experience (recruitment drives, trainings, site visits, collection days) — not remote coordination only - Experience managing third-party vendors or partners to spec - Fluent Spanish and English; Portuguese strongly preferred - Willing to travel regularly within the region, including short-notice trips (pre-approved work travel reimbursed) - Strong operational hygiene: real-time trackers, numbers-first reporting, raising problems with a proposed fix - Reliable own device and workspace **Engagement:** - Independent contractor, monthly rate (share your expected monthly rate in your proposal) - Full-time commitment, long-term for the right person - Initial three-month evaluation period with milestone reviews at Day 30/60/90 - Performance-based variable pay may be discussed after the evaluation period - Signed NDA required before project details are shared **To apply, include in your proposal:** 1.
