Outbound GTM Operator (Contract) — Email + LinkedIn, AI-Native Stack

Summary

We need someone who books meetings our sales team is glad they took — not someone who books a lot of meetings. We're a decentralized clinical trial (DCT) research organization running studies across the US. We help supplement, nutraceutical, device, and bioactive-ingredient brands generate real clinical evidence for their products. Our buyers are sophisticated, science-literate, and appropriately skeptical — think founders, heads of regulatory, and scientific leaders at established brands. Trust and credibility are the product we sell. We're looking for a contract outbound operator to own the build-and-iterate layer of our outbound motion: sequences, targeting, enrichment, deliverability, and reply qualification. You'll work directly with our Commercial Lead, who owns strategy — you own execution, and you'll have real input into targeting and tooling. Read this before applying: This is not a volume role. Our deal cycles are long and consultative, our buyers can smell a templated pitch instantly, and a bad message costs us credibility we can't buy back. We measure you on qualified meetings and pipeline, never on emails sent or raw meetings booked. If your pitch is about volume, we're not a fit. What you'll do • Campaign build and iteration: Build, launch, and iterate outbound sequences across email and LinkedIn. Structured testing on copy, subject lines, and cadence — with weekly reporting on reply rate, positive-reply rate, and qualified meetings. • Targeting and enrichment: Build and refine target lists using enrichment and signal-based triggers (funding, product launches, new hires in scientific/regulatory roles, retailer expansion, conference activity). Precision over volume — we'd rather send 200 excellent messages than 5,000 generic ones. • Deliverability infrastructure: Own sender reputation, domain and inbox setup, warm-up, rotation, and list hygiene. SPF/DKIM/DMARC should be familiar territory, not something you outsource. • AI-assisted personalization: Use LLM tooling to generate and personalize at scale — while keeping every message credible to a scientific buyer. Personalization must be real research, not a merge field. • Reply qualification and handoff: Screen replies against our qualification rubric, book qualified meetings, and hand them off with clean context. You're the filter that protects our sales team's calendar. • CRM hygiene and tooling: Keep our CRM (Attio) disciplined — dispositions, tiers, sequence status, clean handoffs. We have Claude-based workflows wired into our CRM and enrichment stack; you'll use them, and we want your ideas for extending them. • Feedback into targeting: Tell us what's not working and what we should try — better signals, better segmentation, better tooling. You won't set strategy, but we want an operator with opinions. Our stack Instantly and HeyReach for sending. Attio as CRM. Claude (with MCP connectors into our CRM and data sources) for research, list work, message drafting, and workflow automation. We're genuinely AI-native — not as a buzzword, but as how the work actually gets done. On our Claude-based tooling: We've already built Claude-driven workflows for CRM management, prospect research, and enrichment. You'll be expected to use them from day one, and to help us extend them — automating reply classification, enrichment waterfalls, list QA, and reporting. If you've built AI-assisted GTM workflows before, say so prominently; it's one of the strongest signals for us. What we're looking for • Proven outbound experience in complex, considered B2B — long cycles, multiple stakeholders, five-to-six-figure deals. Not transactional SaaS or ecommerce blasting. • Fluency with a modern outbound stack: a sending platform (Instantly, or similar), LinkedIn automation, a CRM, and an enrichment tool. • Real deliverability competence — get it in the inbox • Daily use of LLM tooling in your workflow. We want to hear specifically what you use it for and where you think it fails. • The ability to write for a technical, credibility-sensitive audience without overclaiming. This is the single hardest filter in this role. Nice to have • Experience selling into health, supplements, nutraceuticals, life sciences, or another regulated or science-led category. • You've built GTM tooling or automations yourself — Clay tables, API workflows, MCP integrations, custom reporting. • Account-based experience: multi-threading buying committees rather than single-contact outreach. What resonates with our buyers (and what doesn't) So you can self-assess fit before applying — here's how outbound actually lands in our market: • Works: A specific, researched reason you're reaching out to this company, right now. Real triggers beat clever hooks. • Works: Plain, credible language about a concrete problem. Our buyers respect precision and distrust hype. • Works: Short messages that respect a busy scientific or executive reader and make one clear ask. • Fails: Superlatives, invented urgency, fake familiarity, "I noticed you're the CEO of [Company]" personalization, and anything that overstates what evidence can prove. • Fails: Volume tactics that burn domains and reputation in a small industry where everyone talks to everyone. Engagement and terms • Structure: Contract to start, with a strong preference for converting to an ongoing engagement if it works. • Hours: Roughly 20–30 hours/week to start, with flexibility. Meaningful overlap with US business hours required for handoffs. • Trial: We'll start with a small paid trial project — audit our current sequences and targeting, then rebuild one sequence end-to-end — before committing to an ongoing engagement. • Measured on: Qualified meetings booked, meeting show-and-fit quality, and pipeline created. We'll define the qualification rubric with you in week one. How to apply Please don't send a generic proposal — we'll filter those immediately. Answer these four questions directly: • 1. Describe one outbound campaign you ran into a complex, considered B2B market. What was the targeting logic, and what were the actual numbers? • 2. How do you decide a reply is worth a meeting versus a polite no? Walk us through your qualification thinking. • 3. What does your AI tooling actually do in your workflow day to day — and where have you seen it produce output you had to throw away? • 4. Pick any company that sells supplements or nutraceutical ingredients. In under 100 words, write the first outbound email you'd send them about running a clinical study. We're reading for restraint and credibility, not cleverness.
