Outreach & Community Specialist — Native-Level English Writer

We're a small US marketing agency. We run a program that gets our clients mentioned in the places AI assistants and search engines pull their answers from: software directories, industry roundups, review sites, and public forums. This is an execution role. We provide the targets, the priority order, and in most cases a draft. We're hiring for careful writing and reliability, not marketing strategy. Rate and hours $7-15/hour depending on experience, around 5 hours per week to start. Paid weekly through Upwork. We're looking for someone to stay with us long-term, and we pay more for people who are clearly better. We work with freelancers worldwide. We've had good results with people in South Africa, the Philippines, Kenya and Brazil, but we hire on writing quality, not location. To apply Do these three things. Imagine someone posted this on a forum: "We're a 40-person engineering firm and we waste days rewriting the same proposal content for every bid. What do people actually use for this?" 3. Write the reply you'd post. Three to five sentences, in your own words, as a normal person who knows the topic. Don't sell anything. Don't research it. We only want to see how you write. 4. In two sentences, tell us why you wrote it that way. Then add one line on why you'd be good at repetitive, detail-heavy work. You won't hunt for opportunities or decide what we say. Our internal tool gives you a prioritized daily list of exactly what to do and why. Your job is to check the target, adjust the draft so it genuinely fits, do the task, and record what happened. Long-term role. Starting at about 10 hours per week, with more available if it goes well.
