Outreach and Community Rep for an events startup, warm and human, not salesy
Worldwide
We're an early-stage startup building an AI-powered networking app and event-planner platform. We're looking for a warm, personable outreach rep to represent us to event organizers, start real conversations, introduce what we do, and book intro calls with our founder. You would represent yourself as part of our team. We have a starting list of a couple hundred people in the events industry, plus active Facebook business-networking groups where our prospects already gather. You'll also use our own product's AI insights feature to research leads, so part of the job is being a hands-on power user and flagging anything clunky or broken as you go. That feedback is genuinely valued. What you'll do. One, research event organizers, find their profile, confirm they organize events, and note size and frequency, using our AI insights feature as your primary research tool. Two, start warm, personal conversations, in Facebook groups and via direct message, introducing yourself as part of our team. Three, introduce our product in a warm, human way, we'll give you a context brief with our story and mission so you carry the right voice. Four, book intro calls, phone or video, with our founder for anyone interested, booked calls are the main deliverable. Five, flag product issues you hit in the tool while researching. What we'll provide. A starting lead list, a couple hundred people in the events industry, and the Facebook groups to work. Access and a short walkthrough of our AI insights feature. A founder context brief with our story, mission, and voice so your outreach feels true, not templated. Hard rules. Warm and human, never spammy or mass-blasted, quality over volume. Every message includes a specific, real connection point from your research on that person, no templates. You represent yourself as part of our team, honestly, no impersonating the founder. Ideal candidate. Fluent, natural English, sounds human and warm in writing and on a quick call. Comfortable starting conversations with strangers without being pushy. Organized, self-directed, communicates clearly. Bonus, genuine interest in events, community-building, or startups. To apply, tell me briefly about a time you started a cold conversation that turned into a real relationship or a booked meeting.
