PCB Redesign: Power Architecture Cleanup for Small-Series Electronic Device

Summary

We need an experienced PCB engineer to produce revision 3 of an existing 2-layer board (~145 × 105 mm) for a wellness electronics device built around a Teensy 4.1 and Raspberry Pi 5. The situation: Revision 2 works (after heavy debugging process) and is field-deployed, but two prototypes' worth of debugging identified clear, documented weaknesses - mainly in power distribution (supply current routed on 1 mm signal-width traces, ADuM - SPI part, protection components wrongly chosen and placed, insufficient decoupling). All problems are diagnosed and measured; you are not debugging, you are implementing a closed list of fixes. Scope (full requirements document provided on award): Rework power architecture: input switch relocated to the 12 V side, all supply nets on via-stitched polygon pours, defined bulk/decoupling scheme, dual 3.3 V rails (switched loads vs. analog) Correct input protection: TVS, resettable fuse, reverse-polarity, placed at the connector Minor schematic edits on MOSFET switching stages and mux control (specified line by line) Analog-side ground pour, labeled test points, silkscreen revision marking ADuM - SPI Connector consolidation Deliverables: updated Altium project, gerbers + drill, BOM with supplier part numbers, pick & place — production-ready for JLCPCB/PCBWay Acceptance: DC resistance of the main power paths on the finished layout less 10 mΩ (we verify on the first article), plus a short review call before gerber release. You: solid power-distribution layout experience (multi-amp 5 V rails, pours, decoupling practice), Altium fluency, comfortable working from a written requirements list with measured data behind every item. Mixed-signal experience (quiet analog next to switched loads) is a strong plus. Fixed price. Estimated effort: 15-25 hours. Requirements doc, current Altium project, gerbers, BOM and photos provided immediately on award. Fast decisions, single point of contact, responsive communication (typically same-day). To apply: one paragraph on a comparable power-routing redesign you've done, your fixed price, and turnaround time.
