Packaging Designer for Energy Drink Can
Worldwide
We are looking for an experienced Packaging Designer and Prepress Production Artist to review, polish, and finalize a 12oz energy drink can design, making it 100% production-ready for our manufacturer. We have a completed visual concept (provided as high-res Figma exports/PDFs). The core brand elements—the parrot mascot, Aztec background, and logos—are locked in. However, since we are not packaging experts, we want your professional eye to refine the layout, typography, and visual hierarchy to ensure it looks incredibly premium and shelf-ready before we set up the print layers. Phase 1: Design Polish & Feedback - Review our current artwork and suggest/execute improvements for spacing, typography, legibility, and overall visual balance. - Ensure all regulatory, legal, and nutritional copy is laid out cleanly and meets minimum size requirements (6pt+). Phase 2: Technical Prepress Execution - Dieline Alignment: Transfer the polished vector artwork onto the manufacturer’s .AI template, ensuring perfect alignment, bleeds, seam overlaps, and safe zones. - White Underprint (Metallic) Mask Layer: Create a dedicated vector spot layer for white ink. Our goal is a metallic red finish, so the white underprint must be omitted from the red background while backing the main graphics to remain opaque. - Spot Varnish / Tactile Texture Mask Layer: Create a dedicated vector spot layer mapped to our primary logos, text, and mascot to indicate where the factory will apply raised tactile gloss. - Color Prep: Ensure the file is set to proper CMYK print profiles and convert all text to outlines. Deliverables: A fully editable, print-ready .AI file containing clearly labeled, separated prepress layers (Dieline, CMYK Art, White Underprint, Spot Varnish). A production-ready PDF export.
