Paid 2,000-word audition | Clean Regency romance | Potential 70k novel and series

We are building a repeatable production workflow for English-language clean or closed-door Regency romance. The first commissioned milestone is a paid original scene of approximately 2,000 words written against a detailed private brief. This is paid custom work, not an unpaid contest or speculative sample. Strong candidates may later be invited, under separately agreed and funded milestones, to produce: - a chapter-level outline; - an 8,000-10,000-word opening act and one structured revision; - a complete 65,000-70,000-word novel; - a possible second book in the series. The test material uses third-person limited, past tense, Bath in 1818, a clean-romance boundary and a socially constrained courtship scene. We are looking for emotional depth, dialogue with subtext, prompt compliance and period-aware prose. The work must not read like a contemporary rom-com in Regency costume. Required: - demonstrated long-form fiction experience; - directly relevant historical, Regency, clean, closed-door or sweet-romance evidence; - ability to follow a detailed scene and story bible; - reliable milestone delivery and documented revision response; - original human-written manuscript prose; - disclosure of every AI-enabled tool used for research, spelling, grammar or administration; - no generative AI used to draft, rewrite or expand manuscript prose; - the named freelancer personally performs every approved writing milestone; - no substitution, agency handoff or subcontracting without prior written approval; - willingness to assign the agreed worldwide commercial rights after full payment and keep all project material confidential. Please do not write a custom scene for your proposal. Existing relevant samples or verifiable published credits are sufficient at this stage.
