Paid Media Buyer - Google Ads + Reddit Ads
Worldwide
We're seeking an ambitious and driven media buyer to manage ad campaigns on an ongoing contract basis, 30–40 hours per week. The ideal candidate has a proven track record creating and optimizing ads that drive conversions and sales. The Role We build and manage affiliate campaigns for both lead generation and ecommerce clients. We oversee the strategy and funnels, and need someone who's an expert inside the platforms, building audiences, researching keywords and targeting, and executing and managing optimizations. If you have a passion for digital marketing and a knack for analytics and audiences, we want to hear from you. About ScalePaid: We're a direct-response paid media agency working across two sides of the business: - Full-service performance retainers — Reddit Ads, Google Ads, landing pages, funnels, tracking, and creative for B2B SaaS and DTC brands. - Affiliate / partnership buying — performance campaigns through PartnerStack, Impact, and direct affiliate agency relationships. We're hiring our first dedicated media buyer to work directly with the founder. This is a build-it-with-us seat, not a clock-in seat. What you'll do - Manage and optimize Google Ads campaigns end-to-end (Search, PMax, Demand Gen) — keyword research, RSAs, audience signals, budget pacing, search terms, negatives, the works - Manage Reddit Ads campaigns — subreddit targeting, audience research, creative iteration, and optimization (we'll train you on our methodology if you don't have Reddit experience yet) - Wire up conversion tracking — Google Ads OCT (offline conversion tracking), CRM-to-platform integrations, server-side tracking / CAPI implementations - Write ad copy that converts (RSAs, Reddit promoted posts, sometimes Meta-style angles) - Build landing pages and quiz funnels using our wireframe and CRO playbooks - Build nurture sequences and speed-to-lead automations in our clients' MAPs/CRMs - Help clients align their paid media, offer, and funnel so the campaigns actually convert - Use Claude / Claude Code daily — we lean heavily on AI tooling for research, ad copy, audits, automation - The role spans the full funnel. You will get more breadth here than at a typical agency. What you need to have: - 1.5–3 years managing paid campaigns at an agency (in-house counts only if it was performance-focused with multiple brands). - Strong Google Ads strategy and execution — recent experience with how Google works now (PMax, Demand Gen, broad match + audience signals, automated bidding) - Comfortable with Google Ads Editor for bulk changes - Experience with conversion tracking beyond just dropping a pixel — Google Tag Manager, OCT, basic understanding of CAPI / server-side - English fluency — written and spoken. Client calls are in English and our team relies on collaboration for success. - Proficient with Claude for daily work (research, copy drafts, account audits) - Strong bonus (any of these moves you to the top of the pile): - Reddit Ads management experience with a track record - Meta media buying experience (we don't run Meta currently, but Meta buyers tend to be the best at funnel + creative thinking) - Experience writing direct-response ad copy that you can prove worked - Built landing pages or quiz funnels in Unbounce, Webflow, ClickFunnels, Convertri, or similar - Worked on affiliate / performance partnership campaigns (PartnerStack, Impact, or direct) - Familiar with Claude Code or coding-adjacent automation Who this role is right for - A buyer who's hungry to grow, with a curious, always-learning mindset. - Self-starter. We give direction; you run with it and ask sharp questions when you're stuck - Takes accountability when something breaks. - Doesn't disappear when a campaign tanks - Wants exposure to the full media buying stack (creative, funnel, tracking, offer) instead of pigeonholing into one platform - Understands the fundamentals of Paid Media and Marketing — offer driven, strong ads, and a great funnel Process - Application — see screening questions below - First interview - Paid test - Second Interview with the founder - Offer + onboarding To apply, please answer the following questions: - Walk us through one Google Ads account you managed in the last 12 months. Spend, structure, what was working, what wasn't, and what you changed. - Have you run Reddit Ads? If yes, what worked / didn't. If no, what's your read on the platform? - What conversion tracking setups have you built? (OCT, CAPI, server-side, GTM — be specific) - What are you trying to learn or get better at in the next 12 months? - What hours can you commit each week and what's your timezone?
