Part-Time Accounting & Finance Support – 5–10 Hours/Week

We are a growing private-equity-backed company seeking a reliable part-time accounting professional to support our Director of Finance with recurring accounting and finance responsibilities. This is intended to be an ongoing engagement of approximately 5–10 hours per week. The goal is to delegate recurring accounting and administrative finance work so the Director of Finance can focus more time on financial reporting, analysis, and strategic initiatives. Responsibilities may include: - Accounts payable and invoice processing - Account and balance sheet reconciliations - Transaction review and coding - Maintaining accounting schedules and workpapers - Assisting with the monthly close - Preparing and maintaining recurring reports - Vendor and customer account administration - Other recurring accounting and finance support as needed We are looking for someone who: - Has prior bookkeeping or accounting experience - Is highly detail-oriented and organized - Has strong Excel skills - Can follow established processes while identifying discrepancies or issues - Communicates clearly and asks thoughtful questions when something does not look right - Can work independently and take ownership of recurring responsibilities after initial training - Is dependable and interested in a longer-term part-time engagement Experience with QuickBooks Desktop is strongly preferred. Experience supporting a U.S.-based small or mid-sized business is also helpful.
