Part-Time IT Assistant – Website Updates & AI-Powered Small Projects

We're a home services business looking for a reliable, detail-oriented IT assistant to take over ongoing website maintenance and small technical projects. Ideally ~15-20 hours/week depending on the project We use AI tools (like Claude Code) heavily in our workflow, so comfort working alongside AI-assisted development is essential — you'll be reviewing, executing, and verifying AI-generated fixes, not just writing code from scratch. What you'll be doing: Making small website adjustments and fixes (HTML, schema markup, meta tags, redirects, etc.) Continuing SEO technical work already in progress — things like font optimization, image compression/WebP conversion, schema cleanup, and PageSpeed improvements Managing routine site maintenance: checking Google Search Console, fixing flagged issues, keeping analytics (GA4) running correctly Cleaning up business citations across platforms (Yelp, Facebook, BBB, etc.) as needed Responding promptly and reliably to task assignments and following through to completion Using AI coding tools to execute tasks efficiently, with the judgment to verify the AI's output before calling something done What we're looking for: Experience with basic web development (HTML/CSS, WordPress or similar, Google Search Console, GA4) Familiarity with SEO fundamentals (schema markup, meta tags, redirects, sitemaps) Comfortable using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, etc.) as part of your daily workflow Strong communication responsive, proactive, and able to give clear status updates Self-directed: able to pick up a task list and work through it without heavy hand-holding
