Part-Time Bookkeeper / Accountant: Healthcare Startup

About the Role Sora Care is a healthcare startup that helps family and friend caregivers navigate programs that may pay them for caregiving. We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented part-time bookkeeper or accountant to manage payroll, accounts payable, and tax compliance. Reports to our COO. What You'll Do Process payroll accurately and on time (bi-weekly), including tax withholdings Manage vendor invoices, payments, and AP reconciliation Manage new state registrations & review quarterly/annual tax filings Maintain the general ledger and reconcile bank/credit card accounts monthly Manage Receipts on Mercury Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) What We're Looking For 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, ideally with startups Hands-on payroll processing and payroll tax compliance experience Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently To Apply Please share relevant experience with bookkeeping and payroll platforms (Quickbooks, ADP, Gusto, etc.), your typical hourly rate, and availability.
