Part-Time Financial Controller for a Growing Home-Service Company

We are a growing home-service company seeking an experienced financial controller to help improve financial organization, reporting and decision-making. This position will begin part-time, with the possibility of becoming full-time based on performance and business needs. Responsibilities: • Review financial records for accuracy and completeness • Monitor cash flow, expenses, receivables and payables • Prepare regular financial and management reports • Assist with budgeting and forecasting • Track profitability by job, service or business area • Review accounting processes and recommend improvements • Identify financial risks, discrepancies and unnecessary costs • Help ownership understand the company’s financial position Ideal candidate: • Previous controller, accounting or financial-management experience • Experience supporting a US-based small business • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and financial reporting • Able to explain financial information clearly • Trustworthy, organized and highly detail-oriented • Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines To apply, please provide your hourly rate, weekly availability, relevant certifications, systems you have used, and an example of how you improved financial controls or reporting for another business.
