Part-Time AP Human Geography Instructor

About Us: Triple-I Academy is an online US high school program dedicated to providing high-quality, 1-on-1 academic instruction to international students. We are currently expanding our online faculty and seeking an engaging, highly organized AP Human Geography Instructor to guide students through a focused, high-yield prep program. Project Overview: This is a focused, part-time 1-on-1 tutoring contract. Rather than delivering the full two-semester AP Human Geography course, you will work from our official school syllabus (provided via Canvas) and teach a curated selection of core units. The goal is to help students master the highest-yield concepts and question types within 12 hours of live instruction. Total Live Instruction: 12 hours per student Format: 1-on-1 live sessions Scheduling: Flexible part-time scheduling What You Will Do: Synthesize & Teach: You do not need to create a curriculum from scratch. Navigate the provided Canvas syllabus, identify the most important core units, and deliver clear, digestible live lessons. Platform Delivery: To maintain our academic standards, all live classes must be conducted inside our school's official virtual classroom software, ClassIn (a quick training guide will be provided). Maintain Pacing: Follow the designated milestone schedule to ensure the selected core content is fully covered within the 12-hour limit. Requirements: Strong command of AP Human Geography content (e.g., AP score of 4–5, or relevant teaching/tutoring experience). Fluent English speaker with a clear, neutral accent. Professionalism and reliability: honor the agreed schedule and do not cancel confirmed sessions except in genuine emergencies. Strong punctuality and time management: arrive on time for every session and respect the student's time. Demonstrated academic background or teaching experience in geography, social studies, or a related field. Highly tech-savvy, comfortable navigating Canvas and learning new virtual classroom tools like ClassIn. Ability to break down dense syllabus material into focused, core-concept lessons. Contract & Payment Terms (Upwork Compliance): This will be structured as a Fixed-Price Contract divided into 4 milestones. All communications regarding the contract and all payments will remain strictly on Upwork. Milestone 1: Completion of Hours 1–3 Milestone 2: Completion of Hours 4–6 Milestone 3: Completion of Hours 7–9 Milestone 4: Completion of Hours 10–12 MANDATORY TO APPLY (Please Read Carefully): Due to the high volume of applicants and the specific nature of this role, we require a quick video introduction.
