Summary

Job Description Part-Time Marketing Copywriter – Product Launches & Campaigns This is a remote, part-time position. Company Description: RAKwireless is a market leader in the evolving IoT landscape, dedicated to eliminating design complexity and accelerating time-to-market for underserved and emerging markets, including open-source and industrial communities. Based in Shenzhen, China, with R&D centres in Taiwan, Beijing, and Xi'an, we create easy-to-deploy solutions and modular IoT products accessible to all. Our global team, with collaborators across Asia, Europe, Latin America, and North America, focuses on high-performance, energy-efficient solutions using innovative modular components and a unified software interface. Our “IoT Made Easy” philosophy ensures cost-efficient, easy-to-use solutions that are developer-tested and enterprise-ready. About the Role We’re looking for a part-time marketing copywriter to support RAKwireless product launches, marketing campaigns, RAK Store promotions, social media, and related content projects. This role goes beyond writing individual pieces of copy. You will often work from a product brief or campaign objective, turn technical information into marketing content, adapt messaging across different channels, follow review and approval workflows, and help document campaign results. Some assignments may involve product launches. Others may focus on Store promotions, LinkedIn and X content, email campaigns, events, subscriber growth, or improving how existing content converts visitors into customers. AI can be used to speed up drafting and research, but the role requires independent judgment. You should be able to question weak messaging, verify technical information, identify gaps, and improve a draft rather than simply rewriting what is provided. You’re a good fit if you: • Can quickly understand technical products and determine what matters to the intended audience • Think about the purpose of a campaign, not just the wording of individual assets • Are comfortable moving between product copy, social posts, email, campaign planning, and reporting • Can organize information from product briefs, internal notes, previous campaigns, and performance data • Pay close attention to technical claims, dates, links, product names, certifications, and other details • Can work within established processes while still making useful recommendations • Can manage assigned work independently and keep multiple deliverables organized Key Responsibilities • Support product launches, Store promotions, social media, email, events, and other marketing campaigns from planning through post-campaign review • Review product information and technical documentation, then develop clear messaging, content, channel angles, and calls to action • Write and adapt copy for product pages, Store promotions, LinkedIn, X, emails, newsletters, landing pages, events, and other marketing materials • Follow established review, approval, publishing, and reporting workflows, and coordinate feedback from internal teams • Review campaign results and turn performance data into practical recommendations for future content and campaigns • Support conversion and subscriber-growth initiatives through stronger messaging, CTAs, landing-page copy, email content, and follow-up campaigns • Work with Product, Content, Documentation, E-commerce, Design, Social Media, Marketing Operations, and other teams as needed • Verify technical claims, clarify incomplete information, maintain organized campaign records, and follow internal templates and documentation requirements Required Skills • Strong copywriting portfolio. Please submit your portfolio together with your CV to be considered for the next steps of the hiring process. • Experience writing marketing copy for products, campaigns, e-commerce, or technology • Experience writing for more than one marketing channel, such as social media, email, landing pages, product pages, or newsletters • Ability to digest technical information and translate it into useful, audience-appropriate marketing language • Strong editing skills and the ability to improve structure, messaging, positioning, and clarity • Ability to work from briefs, internal documentation, feedback, and established workflows • Strong attention to detail and fact-checking • Ability to organize multiple campaign assets and keep track of revisions and requirements • Ability to review basic marketing performance data and draw useful content-related conclusions • Comfortable using AI-assisted writing and research tools while independently checking and improving the output • Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision Preferred (but not required) • Previous copywriting experience for IoT, hardware, networking, SaaS, developer tools, or other technical products • Experience supporting product launches or integrated marketing campaigns • E-commerce or Store marketing experience • Familiarity with campaign tracking, UTMs, GA4, Looker Studio, Brevo, or similar marketing tools • Experience with conversion-focused copywriting or content optimization • Familiarity with SEO/GEO principles Additional Notes • The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Marketing team with product launches, campaigns, RAK Store promotions, social content, reporting, and related copywriting work. • The exact mix of assignments will change depending on current launches and Marketing priorities. This is therefore best suited to a writer who is comfortable handling different types of projects rather than specializing in only one content format. • This is not a role where the writer simply receives a finished brief and produces copy. Some assignments will require reviewing source materials, organizing information, identifying missing details, coordinating feedback, and helping determine how a campaign should be communicated across different channels.
