Part-Time Social Media and Content Assistant for Witchcraft Brand
Worldwide
I’m looking for a smart, creative, organized content assistant to help run the day-to-day editorial and social side of an established witchcraft and Pagan lifestyle brand. This is a great role for someone who is genuinely interested in witchcraft, Paganism, folklore, mythology, or adjacent topics and wants hands-on experience with digital publishing. You do **not** need to be an SEO expert or an experienced social media manager. I care much more about finding someone who is intelligent, curious, kind, reliable, collaborative, and willing to learn. You should also be the kind of person who notices things, has ideas, and takes initiative rather than waiting to be told exactly what to do every step of the way. What You'll Help With 1. Instagram + Facebook You'll turn existing articles and editorial content into engaging social posts, including: * Short-form educational posts * Carousels * Quotes * Correspondence lists * Ritual ideas * Spell-related content * Mythology and deity content * Seasonal and lunar content * Saveable/shareable graphics You'll also: * Look for relevant trends and timely opportunities * Create and schedule posts * Pay attention to what's performing * Give me a simple weekly or monthly recap of what worked, what didn't, and what we should do more of FB and IG content will often overlap, so you don't need to reinvent everything twice. 2. Pinterest You'll help manage an established Pinterest account using a content schedule I'll provide. This includes: * Creating and scheduling pins for existing articles * Using existing photography and graphics * Creating fresh graphics based on designs that are already performing * Keeping an eye on which topics and designs are getting traction * Providing a simple monthly report on what worked, what didn't, and what we should repeat You should have a decent visual eye. Experience with Canva is helpful. 3. Timely Content We have some existing articles that need regular maintenance. You'll: * Update dates as needed * Flag when existing rituals or information may need to be adjusted for the year and bring those changes to me rather than making major editorial decisions independently 4. Trend + Content Research I want someone who keeps their eyes open. You'll help identify things like: * Gods and goddesses gaining interest * Trending spells or witchcraft topics * Popular correspondences or seasonal themes * Witchy aesthetics * Relevant movies, books, TV shows, and cultural moments * Questions people seem to be asking repeatedly The goal isn't to chase every trend. It's to notice opportunities that genuinely make sense for the brand. 5. Community + Customer Support You'll also handle some light community and customer-service work, including: * Checking our community forum for flagged posts * Removing obvious spam or inappropriate content * Escalating anything complicated to me * Responding to straightforward customer emails * Answering common questions about products, orders, and digital downloads * Flagging unusual problems rather than trying to solve everything yourself The forum portion should generally only take a few minutes a day. #Who I'm Looking For You might be a great fit if you're: * Genuinely interested in witchcraft, Paganism, astrology, mythology, folklore, or related topics * A strong writer * Takes feedback well - I'm kind, but I edit like an editor. * Smart and curious * Good at research * Kind and thoughtful when communicating with readers and customers * Organized and reliable * Comfortable working independently * Collaborative and receptive to feedback * Creative but also detail-oriented * Someone who takes initiative and brings ideas to the table I'm especially interested in someone early in their career who wants to learn how an established digital publishing business actually works. You don't have to know everything already. #What You'll Learn This is a paid position, but I also want it to be a genuinely useful learning experience. You'll get hands-on exposure to: * SEO fundamentals * Editorial strategy * Social media strategy * Pinterest strategy * Analytics and content performance * Digital publishing * Audience development * Ecommerce * Email and customer communication * Content monetization * How a small online media business operates behind the scenes I've spent many years working in digital editorial and SEO, and I'm happy to teach the right person why we're doing things. # Hours + Working Style This will be a part-time freelance role M-F. Most work can be done asynchronously, but some tasks are time-sensitive. I'm looking for someone who would ideally stick around and grow with the brand rather than someone looking for a very short-term gig. I prefer to communicate via email, though we can work in Slack if you prefer faster communication. # To Apply Please tell me: 1. A little about yourself and why this role interests you. 2. Your experience or personal interest in witchcraft, Paganism, mythology, folklore, or similar subjects. 3. Any experience you have with Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Canva, content creation, writing, or customer support. 4. Approximately how many hours per week you're available. 5. Your hourly rate. Please write your application yourself. I'm not allergic to GPT or Claude, but I want to know how you brain works and see how you naturally write.
