Patient Enrollment Specialist, Outbound Calls, US Healthcare, Long Term, Hourly Plus Bonus
Worldwide
VITASIGNS is a US healthcare technology company. We run remote patient monitoring and chronic care programs on behalf of physician practices in California. Doctors refer their own patients into the program. Your job is to call those patients, explain what their doctor signed them up for, get them enrolled, and get them taking their first reading before you hang up. This is not cold calling. Every person on your list already sees the physician you are calling on behalf of. Most are 65 or older. They are not annoyed to hear from you. They are often confused, sometimes nervous about the technology, and almost always need a patient, warm, unhurried voice on the other end of the line. Your success depends on being that voice, at volume, every day. We are looking for a long-term working relationship, not a short project. Our last contractor hired this way stayed with us full time and did excellent work. English fluency comes first Please read this before you apply. Our patients are elderly, many have hearing difficulty, and the call only works if they understand you easily the first time. We need highly fluent, natural, easily understood spoken English at an unhurried conversational pace. This is the single most important requirement in this posting, ahead of every other qualification listed. Every applicant is evaluated on the voice recording described at the bottom. What you will do • Make a high volume of outbound calls per shift from a provided list of referred patients • Explain the monitoring program in plain, simple language with no jargon • Read the required enrollment and consent scripts accurately and completely • Walk the patient through their device and stay on the line until they take their first reading • Set expectations for daily readings before ending every call • Log every call, outcome, and consent detail in HubSpot the same day, no backlog • Handle hesitation with warmth, including the very common "my daughter said no" and "I do not want another gadget" • Escalate anything clinical to our nursing team immediately What you will never do You will never give medical advice, interpret a reading, discuss medications, or answer a clinical question. Not once. If a patient asks, you tell them you are not clinical and you route it to the nurse. If you are not comfortable holding that line every single time, this is not the right role for you. Requirements • Highly fluent, easily understood spoken English. Natural pace, clear articulation, and the patience to be understood by hearing-impaired patients aged 65 and older • Two or more years in outbound calling, appointment setting, patient outreach, or healthcare BPO work • Real, hands-on CRM experience. You will live in a CRM all day. You need to log in, find a contact, update a stage, log activity, and work a filtered call list without being walked through it. HubSpot strongly preferred. Salesforce, Athena, eClinicalWorks, or similar transfers well • Genuinely tech-forward. You learn new software by clicking around, not by waiting for training • Availability during US Pacific business hours • Reliable high-speed internet, a quiet dedicated workspace, a USB headset, and a backup plan for power or internet outages • Willing to complete our onboarding paperwork and training before your first call How you will work You will work inside a company-provided secure cloud desktop. All patient information stays in that environment. Nothing is downloaded, stored, or worked on from your personal machine, and account sharing is not permitted under any circumstance. Your login is yours alone and activity is logged. If that setup is a problem for you, please do not apply. Nice to have • Medical assistant, nursing, pharmacy, or clinic front-desk background • A second language. English is required. Spanish is especially useful given our patient population • Experience with remote patient monitoring, chronic care management, or Medicare programs Compensation $9.00 to $14.00 per hour depending on experience, plus a performance bonus tied to call volume, first-reading capture on the enrollment call, documentation quality, and patient retention through the first 30 days. Strong performers earn meaningfully more than base. This is a long-term engagement with room to grow into a senior or team lead role as we expand. To apply Do not send a generic cover letter. Applications missing any of the three items below will not be reviewed. 1. A 60 to 90 second voice recording, any format, in which you explain to a 74 year old with high blood pressure who has never used a connected device why their doctor wants them to check their blood pressure every day. Assume they are skeptical and slightly hard of hearing. 2. One sentence naming every CRM you have personally used and which one you know best. 3. Your typical daily outbound call volume in your most recent role.
