Payroll Tax Compliance Specialist Needed — Multi-State Gusto Setup

Description: We're a small tech startup (5-8 employees) using Gusto for payroll across multiple states (WA, CA, NV, MA). We have several overdue state tax compliance issues that need expert attention: Immediate needs: Washington state tax account numbers are incorrect/incomplete in Gusto, blocking tax filings (overdue since Jan 2025) Multiple states have missing tax registrations preventing Gusto from filing and paying payroll taxes (overdue since July 2025) We are currently responding to a Washington State ESD subpoena related to missing quarterly filings — some coordination with our employment attorney may be needed Need to evaluate whether we're required to offer a retirement plan (401k) under state law (e.g., WA Retirement Marketplace, CalSavers, etc.) What we need help with: Auditing our current Gusto setup across all states where we have/had employees Completing state tax registrations (working with CorpNet as needed) and correcting account numbers in Gusto Ensuring back-filed quarterly reports get submitted correctly once registrations are active
