# Senior PCB Layout Engineer Needed – High Current BLDC Motor Controller (KiCad) ## Project Overview I have completed the full schematic of a professional 4-layer BLDC motor controller PCB in KiCad. The schematic is finished and ERC-clean. The board dimensions are approximately **87 × 43 mm**. The design includes: * STM32F405 * DRV8301 Gate Driver * 6 × Power MOSFETs * Reverse polarity protection (LM74700) * CAN Bus * USB-C * IMU * 12V Buck Converter * 5V Buck Converter * 3.3V LDO * 60V Battery Input * 60A Continuous Current * 2 oz Copper * 4-layer PCB --- ## What I Need This is **NOT** a schematic design job. The schematic is already completed. I need an experienced PCB Layout Engineer to: ### 1. Review Component Placement * Optimize placement for minimum current loop. * Improve thermal performance. * Optimize EMI/EMC. * Group functional blocks. * Prepare the board for professional routing. --- ### 2. Power Plane Design Design all Copper Zones including: * VBAT * PGND * PHASE A * PHASE B * PHASE C * +12V * +5V * +3.3V --- ### 3. Routing Perform complete routing including: * High current routing * Gate drive routing * Kelvin sensing routing * Buck converter routing * STM32 signals * USB * CAN * Differential signal routing where required --- ### 4. Thermal Design * Thermal vias * Copper stitching * Ground stitching * Heat spreading --- ### 5. DFM Review Before delivery, review the board for: * Manufacturability * Current capability * Clearance * Creepage * EMI considerations * High-current return paths --- ## Software KiCad 10 --- ## Deliverables * Updated KiCad PCB * Fully routed board * Proper Copper Zones * Design Rule Check clean * Manufacturing-ready layout * Brief report explaining any placement modifications --- ## Required Experience Please apply only if you have experience with: * High-current motor controllers * BLDC / PMSM drives * DRV8301 or similar gate drivers * STM32-based power electronics * 4-layer PCB layout * KiCad Experience with VESC, ODrive, industrial motor controllers, or automotive power electronics is a strong advantage. Please include examples of previous PCB layouts, especially power electronics projects.
