Performance Creative Strategist / Angle & Script Writer European Multi-Language E-commerce Brand We are looking for a Performance Creative Strategist / Creative Angle & Script Writer who can come up with strong advertising angles, write conversion-focused scripts and briefs, and guide our creative designers in turning those ideas into high-performing ads. This is not a traditional copywriting role. Your job is to think about why someone should buy, what angle will make them stop scrolling, what objection needs to be handled, what hook will get attention, and how that should be translated into a static ad, video ad, UGC concept or other creative format. Your concepts need to be made for performance. The goal is not just to create interesting ideas. The ads need to convert. We operate a multi-language e-commerce brand across multiple European markets, so an important part of this role is also adapting creative angles, hooks and messaging to different countries and audiences. Your responsibilities * Develop new creative angles for paid social campaigns. * Research customer pain points, desires, objections, motivations and buying triggers. * Turn those insights into conversion-focused advertising concepts. * Write hooks, scripts, headlines, body copy and calls-to-action. * Develop concepts for both video and static/image ads. * Create clear creative briefs for designers and video editors. * Guide creative designers on how concepts should be executed visually. * Review finished creatives and provide feedback before they go live. * Create new variations of winning angles and creatives. * Develop new angles based on existing ad performance. * Identify why certain ads work and use those learnings for new concepts. * Research competitor advertising, Meta Ad Library, TikTok trends, customer reviews and other sources for creative inspiration. * Build and maintain a structured creative testing pipeline. * Work closely with our media buying and creative teams. Creative formats You should be comfortable developing concepts for formats such as: * UGC ads * Founder-style ads * Product demonstrations * Problem/solution ads * Testimonial ads * Review creatives * Before/after concepts * Comparison ads * Product benefit ads * Educational ads * Storytelling ads * Offer-driven ads * Promotional creatives * Objection-handling ads * Social proof creatives * Static image ads * Carousels * Short-form video * AI-assisted creatives Performance mindset We want someone who understands that a creative needs more than a nice design. You should be thinking about: Hook Angle Problem Desire Objection Proof Offer CTA You should be able to answer questions like: * Why should the customer care about this product? * What problem are we solving? * What is the strongest emotional or rational buying trigger? * What objections could stop someone from buying? * What makes our product different from alternatives? * What hook will make someone stop scrolling? * What proof does the customer need before purchasing? * Which angle should we test next? You should also be able to take one product and come up with multiple completely different angles rather than simply rewriting the same message. For example, the same product could be marketed around convenience, design, price/value, social proof, problem solving, gifting, lifestyle, performance, quality, comparison or urgency. Localization across European markets We sell across multiple European countries and languages. An important part of this role is understanding that localization is not just translation. A Dutch creative angle may not perform the same way in Germany, France, Italy, Scandinavia or another market. You will help adapt: * Hooks * Angles * Scripts * Offers * Tone of voice * Customer pain points * Objection handling * Cultural references * Price/value positioning * Social proof * Calls-to-action You should be able to create a strong master concept and then adapt it for different European markets where necessary. Depending on the campaign, concepts may be used across approximately 5–10 languages and multiple European stores. Working with the creative designer You will not necessarily need to design every creative yourself. A large part of your role is making sure the designer or video editor knows exactly what needs to be created. Your briefs should be clear enough that a designer can execute the concept without having to guess the strategy. A good brief may include: * Main angle * Target audience * Hook * Script or copy * Visual direction * Reference ads * Product benefits to highlight * Objections to handle * Proof/social proof * CTA * Desired format * Creative variations to test You will also review creatives and give feedback where necessary. What we're looking for * Experience with performance marketing, direct-response copywriting or creative strategy. * Strong understanding of ecommerce advertising. * Experience developing Meta and/or TikTok ad concepts. * Strong understanding of hooks, angles, offers and consumer psychology. * Ability to write natural and persuasive scripts. * Able to turn customer research into advertising ideas. * Comfortable working with creative designers and editors. * Able to give clear and actionable creative feedback. * Strong understanding of testing and creative iteration. * Comfortable creating a high volume of concepts and variations. * Good English communication skills. * Experience with international or European ecommerce brands is a strong plus. * Experience with multilingual campaigns is a strong plus. AI We actively use AI in our creative workflow. You can use AI for research, ideation, script variations, localization and brainstorming, but we are not looking for someone who simply generates generic AI scripts. You need to understand marketing and creative strategy yourself. AI should make you faster and more productive, but the final thinking, positioning and creative judgment need to be strong. Long-term opportunity We are looking for someone we can work with long term. We want to continuously test new angles, scripts, formats and creatives across our European markets. If your concepts perform and lead to converting ads, there is a lot of room to scale the role and take ownership of a large part of our creative strategy. Over time, you could become responsible for our creative testing roadmap, angle development, scripts, briefs and localization strategy across multiple European markets. To apply Please send: * A short introduction about yourself. * Your relevant ecommerce or performance marketing experience. * Examples of scripts, creative briefs or ad concepts you have created. * Examples of ads based on your concepts if available. * Any performance results you can share. * Your experience with Meta/TikTok advertising. * Your experience with multilingual or international brands. * Which research, copywriting and AI tools you use. * Your availability. * Your hourly rate or preferred compensation model. Important: We are not looking for generic copywriting. We are looking for someone who can consistently come up with strong creative angles and turn them into ads that convert.
