The Role We are seeking an experienced Performance Test Engineer with strong expertise in mobile application performance testing, preferably within the FinTech or digital payments domain. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, executing, and analyzing performance, load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing for mobile applications and backend services. You will identify performance bottlenecks across mobile, API, middleware, and database layers while ensuring an excellent user experience under peak transaction volumes — working closely with Development, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Product teams to keep client systems fast, reliable, and ready to scale. What You'll Do Mobile & API Performance Testing Design, develop, and execute performance test strategies and test plans for Android and iOS mobile applications Perform Load, Stress, Spike, Endurance, and Scalability testing for mobile applications and backend APIs Perform API performance testing for RESTful and microservices-based applications Create and maintain automated performance test scripts using industry-standard tools Analysis & Optimization Analyze application performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and recommend optimization solutions Monitor server-side performance, application logs, CPU, memory, network utilization, and database performance during test execution Validate application performance under high concurrent user loads and peak transaction scenarios Collaboration & Reporting Work closely with Development, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Product teams to resolve performance issues Prepare comprehensive performance test reports, dashboards, and recommendations Participate in capacity planning and production performance validation Engineering Practices Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines where applicable Ensure performance testing aligns with non-functional requirements (NFRs) and SLAs What You Bring Mobile Performance Testing Experience testing Android and iOS mobile applications Understanding of mobile application architecture and client-server interactions Knowledge of mobile network conditions (3G/4G/5G/Wi-Fi), latency, bandwidth simulation, and device performance profiling Experience with mobile performance monitoring tools Performance Testing Tools Hands-on experience with one or more of: Apache JMeter, LoadRunner, NeoLoad, Gatling, k6 API Performance Testing REST APIs, JSON/XML Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI Monitoring & Analysis Experience with observability tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, Kibana, or New Relic Database Knowledge SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL SQL performance analysis Cloud & DevOps Good understanding of AWS / Azure / GCP Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, CI/CD pipelines FinTech Domain Experience (Preferred) Candidates with experience in FinTech, Digital Payments, Banking, Wallets, UPI, Cards, Lending, Insurance, or Financial Services will be highly preferred. Experience with high-volume transaction systems is a strong advantage, including payment gateways, mobile banking applications, UPI transactions, wallet platforms, real-time payment processing, and high-concurrency transaction systems.
