Summary

Executive Assistant / Right Hand for Multi-Unit Restaurant Franchise Owner (Remote, US Hours) Job title options (pick one): • Executive Assistant & Communications Support — Restaurant Franchise Group (Remote, US Hours) • Right-Hand EA for Franchise Operator — Writing, Email & Light Creative • Remote Executive Assistant — Strong Writer, Creative Eye, US Business Hours About the role I'm a multi-unit restaurant franchise owner based in the Washington, DC metro area. I operate and develop QSR and fast-casual locations across multiple states, and I'm building out a franchise advisory practice alongside it — helping other operators get into franchising and scale from a handful of units to double digits. Most of my week is spent on site selection, lease negotiations, franchisor relationships, partner communication, and business development. That generates a constant stream of email, follow-ups, documents, decks, and content that I do not have time to stay on top of. I'm looking for one sharp, reliable person to take that off my plate. This is not a task-rabbit role — I want someone who learns how I think, drafts in my voice, and eventually anticipates what's needed before I ask. What you'll actually do Email & communication (the biggest piece) • Manage and triage my inbox: flag what matters, archive what doesn't, keep me at a clean inbox • Draft outreach and replies in my voice — to commercial brokers, landlords, franchisors, vendors, attorneys, partners, and prospective clients • Run follow-up sequences so deals and conversations don't go cold • Write meeting recaps and partner update emails from my notes or call transcripts Calendar & coordination • Schedule calls, site visits, and meetings across multiple time zones • Prep me before calls with a short brief: who they are, what we last discussed, what I want out of it • Keep deal trackers, contact lists, and project pipelines current Documents & research • Build and maintain templates: LOI summaries, lease comparison sheets, deal trackers, one-pagers • Market and site research — demographics, competitor mapping, franchisee lookups, LinkedIn sourcing • Organize files in Google Drive with a system that actually holds up Creative & content • Draft LinkedIn posts and short-form content for my personal brand (I'll give you the raw thinking; you shape it) • Build clean, simple decks and one-pagers in Google Slides or Canva • Light brand and marketing support for new restaurant concepts — social captions, promo graphics, menu or flyer layouts • Help me look sharp and consistent everywhere my name shows up Who I'm looking for Non-negotiables: • Exceptional written English. Native-level or extremely close. You'll be writing on my behalf to landlords, franchisors, and clients — the writing has to be clean, warm, professional, and free of anything that reads like a template or an AI first draft. • Availability during US Eastern business hours, roughly 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET, Monday through Friday. You can live anywhere in the world, but you need to be online and responsive when I am. • Strong email judgment. You know the difference between an email that needs a warm, personal touch and one that needs to be three lines and direct. • Discretion. You'll see financials, lease terms, and partner conversations. You'll sign an NDA before you touch anything sensitive. Strongly preferred: • A real creative eye — you can make a deck or a graphic that looks intentional, not clip-art • Comfortable with Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides), Canva, and AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude as a drafting aid (not a crutch) • Experience supporting a founder, owner, or executive — bonus if it was in restaurants, real estate, retail, or franchising • Proactive by default. If you see something slipping, you flag it or fix it without waiting to be asked. Not a fit if: you need every task spelled out step by step, you go quiet for hours without responding, or your writing needs heavy editing before it can go out. Logistics • Type: Ongoing, long-term. Starting at [15–20] hours per week with a clear path to more as you take on more. • Location: Fully remote, anywhere in the world — US Eastern hours required. • Rate: [$XX–$XX/hour], negotiable based on experience. I pay well for people who make my life easier and I'd rather pay one great person than three cheap ones. • Start: Paid trial project first (a few hours, real work), then ongoing if it clicks for both of us. How to apply Please don't send a generic proposal — I read every one and I can tell instantly. Include the following: 1. Start your proposal with the word "Karahi" so I know you read this all the way through. 2. A short writing sample. Write me a 100–150 word email, as if you were me, reaching out to a commercial real estate broker in a new market asking about available end-cap retail space for a fast-casual restaurant. Make something up for the details — I'm judging tone and clarity, not accuracy. 3. One creative sample — a deck, one-pager, social graphic, or anything you've designed that you're proud of. 4. Two or three sentences on the executive or business owner you've supported most recently, and what you actually owned for them. 5. Your time zone and your working hours in US Eastern time. I read every application personally and I respond to everyone I shortlist. Looking forward to it.
