Summary

We are developing a new software platform for petroleum engineers and are looking for experienced engineers to test the product and provide candid feedback. This is not a software development position. We want actual petroleum engineers who understand hydraulic fracturing workflows and can evaluate the software from an engineer's perspective. Ideal Background We're especially interested in petroleum, completions, reservoir, or frac engineers who have experience with one or more hydraulic fracturing or reservoir simulation platforms, such as: ResFrac Petrel FracPro GOHFER StimPlan Other hydraulic fracturing, completions, reservoir, or well simulation software The Project You will be given access to a new web-based engineering platform and asked to work through a typical workflow. We want you to evaluate things such as: How intuitive the workflow is Whether terminology and inputs make sense to a petroleum engineer How easy it is to set up and run a simulation Whether the results and visualizations are useful Anything confusing, missing, unnecessary, or difficult Features you would expect the software to have How the experience compares with engineering software you currently use We want candid feedback. Finding problems and telling us what you dislike is just as valuable as telling us what you like. Time Required Approximately 60–90 minutes total. We may ask you to share your screen while testing the software so we can observe how you navigate it and where you encounter friction. Compensation $100 fixed price per completed testing session and feedback. There may be opportunities for additional paid testing and consulting as the product evolves. To Apply Please answer these questions: What is your petroleum engineering background? How many years have you worked in the oil & gas industry? What hydraulic fracturing, completions, reservoir, or simulation software have you personally used? Are you currently or have you previously worked directly with hydraulic fracturing/completions? Please do not send a generic proposal. We are primarily interested in your actual petroleum engineering and frac software experience.
