PhD Research Consultant Needed – Translation Studies (Arabic & English)

I am a second-year PhD student in Translation Studies. My research is a comparative study of an Arabic novel and its English translation. This is an academic research project focused on Translation Studies and does not involve carrying out translation itself. I am looking for an experienced academic consultant who is fluent in both Arabic and English and has a strong academic background in Translation Studies. Ideally, you should hold a Master’s or PhD in Translation Studies (or a closely related field) and have experience with academic research, literary translation, and translation theories. My research draws on established translation theories and approaches, so I am looking for someone who is familiar with scholars and frameworks such as Venuti, Lefevere, Baker, Hermans, Toury, Reiss and Vermeer, and other relevant approaches within Translation Studies. I have already completed my research proposal, developed my thesis outline, and nearly finished my literature review. I am looking for someone who can: * Discuss each chapter with me before I begin writing. * Provide critical feedback on my drafts and help strengthen my arguments. * Suggest relevant literature and theoretical perspectives where appropriate. * Help identify gaps in my analysis and improve the academic quality of my work. * Engage in regular academic discussions to help me prepare for meetings with my supervisor and for my viva. I am looking for a collaborative academic mentor and consultant who can provide constructive guidance throughout the remaining stages of my PhD while ensuring that the research and writing remain my own work.
