Photo Reformatting for App Display

I need help reformatting approximately 5 existing photos to compensate for an app that automatically zooms/crops uploaded images. I do not want the actual photos retouched, enhanced or changed. The problem is simply that when I upload a photo, the app displays it significantly more zoomed-in than the original. I therefore need the image reformatted so that it is effectively more zoomed-out within the file/canvas, meaning that when the app applies its automatic zoom/crop, the final result looks as close as possible to the original photo and original framing. This may involve resizing/repositioning the original image within a larger canvas and determining the best way to handle the additional space around it. The original subjects and appearance of the photo should remain unchanged. The main requirement is someone who understands image dimensions, aspect ratios, canvas resizing, cropping and framing in Photoshop, rather than someone focused primarily on photo retouching.
