Photorealistic Product CGI Artist – Flexible Packaging / Doypack Specialist

We are looking for a highly skilled Product CGI / 3D Product Visualization artist with proven experience in photorealistic flexible packaging. We are creating e-commerce imagery for Nordiq Ritual, a premium functional food brand, and need two custom matte-black stand-up pouch models. This is not a standard packaging mockup project. Our highest priority is the physical realism of the pouch itself. The main 520 g pouch contains powder and must feel like a real filled package photographed in a high-end product studio — with believable weight, gravity, material tension and natural imperfection. The pouch should feel filled by product, not inflated by air. What matters most – convincing weight and gravity – realistic powder-filled volume settling naturally toward the bottom – relaxed rather than inflated upper areas – subtle asymmetry – physically believable bottom gusset, zipper and sealed edges – small, natural material deformations rather than large geometric folds – realistic matte-black flexible laminate – restrained, photographic studio lighting – excellent material response and subtle highlights – strong product-photography / art-direction judgement The final result should be believable enough that, without context, it could be mistaken for high-end product photography rather than CGI. What we do NOT want – balloon-like or air-filled pouches – rigid, perfectly symmetrical packaging – generic stock pouch mockups – synthetic or rubber-like matte materials – exaggerated geometric wrinkles – excessive gloss or dramatic CGI reflections – typical aggressive sports-supplement advertising aesthetics Our visual direction is restrained, tactile and premium — closer to high-end food, beauty and editorial product photography. Product Main pouch: approximately 210 × 310 mm, matte-black stand-up doypack containing 520 g of powder, with a separate 130 × 170 mm product label. Sample pouch: approximately 80 × 100 mm matte-black pouch containing 40 g of powder. Two product variants will ultimately use the same master pouch models. Exact dimensions, artwork and production details will be supplied to the selected artist. Final project deliverables 520 g pouch — two product variants: – straight front view – straight back view – natural 3/4 view 40 g pouch — two product variants: – straight front view Total: 8 final high-resolution renders with transparent backgrounds. We also require the final editable 3D master files, materials and textures used to create the pouch assets, so they can be reused for future product variants. Portfolio requirement — please read carefully Please submit only 1–3 of your strongest examples of photorealistic flexible packaging: stand-up pouches, coffee bags, food pouches or similar soft packaging. We are specifically interested in the quality of the pouch itself. A portfolio consisting mainly of bottles, jars, boxes or generic supplement mockups is not relevant to this project. If possible, include at least one image showing a pouch at a 3/4 angle where its volume, side construction and material behavior can be clearly evaluated. Project workflow This will be a fixed-price project divided into two milestones. Milestone 1: development of the 520 g master pouch — geometry, realistic fill behavior, material, lighting, front and 3/4 views. Milestone 2: remaining product variant, back views, 40 g pouch, final high-resolution exports and source files. We will approve the master pouch before proceeding with the remaining renders. Quality and physical realism matter more to us than speed. There is potential for additional work as new product variants and brand imagery are developed.
