About Us We're a growing, funded SaaS company building an AI-powered data intelligence platform for financial services professionals. Our product automatically collects, refreshes, and analyzes complex data that's historically been manual and hard to track, then surfaces it directly inside our customers' daily workflow. We're live in market with paying customers on a production stack (modern JS/TS backend and frontend, relational database), with active integrations into third-party data providers and industry software platforms. We're now building out the AI layer of the platform — automated analysis, AI-assisted guidance features, and workflow automation that removes manual work from our customers' days — and we need someone to own that build. About the Role We're hiring a full-time contract AI Automation / Workflow Specialist to design, build, and maintain the automated pipelines and AI-driven workflows that power our platform's data intelligence layer. This is not a general full-stack engineering role — it's focused specifically on automation: connecting data sources, orchestrating multi-step workflows, wiring up LLM-powered features, and making sure information moves through the platform (and out to end users) without manual intervention. You'll work closely with our founder and engineering team, plugging directly into a live product with real users, real data pipelines, and a clear roadmap of automation and AI features already scoped. What You'll Do Design and build automated workflows that pull, normalize, and refresh data from third-party APIs and keep it continuously synced into our core data model Build and maintain AI-driven features on our roadmap — automated analysis and summaries, AI-assisted guidance, and other LLM-powered assistance — using tools like the OpenAI or Anthropic APIs Automate internal and customer-facing workflows using orchestration tools (n8n, Make, Zapier, or custom Node/Python services) — think scheduled data refreshes, alerting on material changes, and automated report generation Build and maintain integrations between our platform and third-party industry software and data vendors Monitor data pipeline health, handle API failures/rate limits/entitlement gaps gracefully, and build fallback logic so users never see broken or fabricated data Collaborate with the founder and engineering team to prioritize and scope new automation and AI features as the platform expands Document workflows clearly so they're maintainable as the team grows What We're Looking For Proven experience building production automation workflows — whether through platforms like n8n, Make, or Zapier, or custom scripts/services (Node.js and/or Python) Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) into real product features — not just prototypes Comfort working with REST APIs, JSON data structures, and third-party data vendors Experience with relational databases (Postgres preferred) and basic data modeling Strong communication skills — this is a remote, async-friendly role, but you'll need to explain tradeoffs clearly and flag blockers early Comfortable working in a small startup environment: fast iteration, direct access to the founder, and evolving priorities SaaS or fintech experience is a strong plus Nice to Have Experience with financial services or data-heavy B2B SaaS platforms Experience building consent-based data-sharing flows Familiarity with NestJS and/or Next.js Background in advisor-facing or professional-services fintech products Engagement Details Type: Full-time contract (40 hrs/week) Location: Remote Start: As soon as we find the right fit How to Apply Please include: A short summary of an automation or AI-driven workflow you've built end-to-end (what problem it solved, what tools/stack you used) Your experience integrating LLM APIs into a live product Your availability and preferred hourly rate for a full-time contract engagement
