Podcast - Adding B-Roll

Podcast Video Editor – B-Roll Sourcing + Vertical Reels We are a video production company looking for a video editor for ongoing podcast and educational video work. This first project is a paid test. If it goes well, we are looking for someone we can consistently send similar projects to. The Project We will provide a professionally edited **10–15 minute landscape podcast/video**. The dialogue, primary edit, audio, and overall structure will already be completed. Your primary job is to take the finished edit and make it more visually engaging. You Will: * Watch and understand the full 10–15 minute video * Identify where B-roll will improve the story * Search **Artlist** or other licensed sources for appropriate stock B-roll * Select B-roll that directly supports what the speaker is discussing * Add and time B-roll throughout the landscape video * Avoid generic or excessive stock footage * Maintain a clean, professional, premium look * Create **up to 8 vertical 9:16 reels/shorts** from the landscape content * Properly reframe footage for vertical * Add captions to the vertical videos * Use B-roll in the vertical versions where appropriate * Maintain consistent branding * Deliver an organized Premiere Pro project B-Roll Is Important We are specifically looking for an editor with **good visual judgment and storytelling ability**. We do not want to tell you exactly what B-roll to place over every section. We want you to listen to what the speaker is saying, understand the concept, and determine what visuals would make that section more engaging. The content often discusses topics such as leadership, workplace culture, burnout, personal development, organizational performance, and professional growth. We have an **Artlist subscription**. Vertical Shorts There may be **up to 8 shorts from each episode**. For this initial project, we will provide the sections/timestamps that should become shorts. You are responsible for turning those sections into polished vertical videos rather than simply cropping the landscape version. ## This Is a Paid Test We want to be transparent: **we are using this first project to find an editor for ongoing work.** If you're a good fit, we have additional podcast episodes and client projects that we would like to send consistently. ## To Apply Please provide: 1. 2–3 examples of talking-head, interview, or podcast videos where **you selected and incorporated B-roll** 2. Examples of vertical reels/shorts you've edited 3. Your turnaround time 4. Your fixed price for this project 5. Confirmation that you edit in **Adobe Premiere Pro** **Please do not send a generic showreel. We want to see examples demonstrating B-roll selection and visual storytelling.**
