Podcast Trailer - 24 hour turnaround needed
Worldwide
We need a 60-second vertical trailer cut from a long-form interview recording, and we need it back within 24 hours. The recording is funny, nostalgic and in one place quite moving, and the trailer has to carry all three. Tone is warm and fast, not worthy or reflective. We have a detailed shot-by-shot brief ready to send you. Every moment is already chosen. The brief gives you the exact line of dialogue to search for, how long each beat should run, what archive or imagery goes over the top of it, and the on-screen text that goes with it. You are not being asked to find the story. You are being asked to execute a clear plan to a high standard, fast. There are only eight talking beats in the whole trailer, so the pacing is unhurried and the quality of each individual beat is what matters. This is a one-off job with a hard deadline. We produce short-form video continuously, so if this comes back on time and to standard there is regular ongoing work. What you will receive Three camera angles from the studio recording, 4K. Separate microphone audio recorded through a RODECaster. The full transcript. The shot-by-shot trailer brief, with searchable dialogue for every cut and the on-screen text specified for each beat. Example trailers showing exactly the style and finish we expect. What the trailer needs Sync the three camera angles and the RODECaster audio. Remove the in-camera audio and use the RODECaster audio only. Colour correct and grade all three angles to match. The main camera sits behind a teleprompter and is usually darker than the other two, so it needs balancing. Cut to the brief. Eight talking beats plus a title card and an end card, in under 60 seconds. Never hide a cut with the same camera. Always rotate to a different angle. Reframe properly for vertical. Punch in on the speaker and compose for 9:16. Do not letterbox a widescreen shot into the middle of the frame. Source a handful of short archive clips and stills. The brief tells you exactly what to look for on each beat, and it is all straightforward to find online. Budget no more than an hour for this. Cut them in muted, in a framed or lightly retro-treated block rather than stretched to fill. Retention edit throughout. Slow zooms and subtle motion so nothing sits static. Burned-in captions. We use a plugin called Captionear, but you are welcome to use a different tool as long as the result is clean and matches our examples. Build the on-screen text cards specified in the brief. These are the design layer, they are separate from the captions, and they need to land on the beat of the music. Source royalty-free music cleared for commercial use, and tell us what you used. Add sound design on the graphic hits. Precise, not a pile of stock whooshes. One line of dialogue needs bleeping, with a censored caption on screen. The brief explains exactly how. Captions and on-screen text must be accurate and in British English, so a strong command of written English is essential. Deliverables The finished trailer. 9:16 vertical, 1080 x 1920, 25fps, H.264 MP4, under 60 seconds. The Premiere Pro project file. Every asset used in the edit: fonts, music, graphics, LUTs, and a list of any plugins, packaged so the project opens and relinks cleanly at our end. Turnaround This is the most important part of the job. You have 24 hours from the moment the footage lands with you. Please do not apply if you cannot commit to that. Confidentiality The recording is unreleased and the material is confidential until publication. You will be asked to keep the footage, the transcript and the finished trailer private, not to share or repost any of it, and not to use any of it in a public portfolio or showreel without our written permission. How to apply Please send links to short-form vertical clips you have edited, ideally multi-cam work with captions and on-screen graphics. Tell us which software you use, confirm you can meet the 24-hour turnaround, and confirm you are comfortable matching the style in the examples we provide. This is a fixed price for the single trailer. Please include your price.
