Power BI & Data Analytics Consultant for Long-Term Engagement

We are looking for an experienced Power BI / Data Analytics professional to support our team on an ongoing basis. This is intended to be a long-term engagement of 6+ months, with approximately 15-20 hours per week initially. The right person may become a continuing analytics resource as our reporting and data needs grow. We are looking for someone who can do more than build individual dashboards. We need someone who can understand business requirements, work with multiple data sources, build reliable reporting models, and turn data into useful insights for management. What you would work on: Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports Develop data models and DAX measures Connect and transform data from sources such as SQL databases, Excel, APIs and business applications Create management and operational KPI reporting Perform ad-hoc data analysis and identify trends, anomalies and opportunities Support financial and business reporting where required Improve existing Power BI reports for performance, usability and maintainability Work with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into practical analytics solutions Take ownership of recurring reporting and analytics needs rather than only completing one-off dashboard tasks Ideal experience: 5+ years of professional experience in data analytics / business intelligence Strong Power BI experience Strong DAX and Power Query skills Good SQL knowledge Experience with data modelling and reporting architecture Ability to work with financial, operational or business data Strong analytical and problem-solving ability Comfortable communicating directly with business stakeholders Able to work independently and become a reliable long-term analytics partner Experience with financial analysis, management reporting, forecasting, KPI design or business performance analysis is a strong plus.
