We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer for Lightweight High-Voltage Power System for Tethered UAS Project overview We need to transmit electrical power efficiently from a ground station to an airborne platform through a lightweight tether. The anticipated architecture is: - Ground-side conversion from approximately 120–125V input power to approximately 400V for transmission through the tether - Airborne conversion from approximately 400V down to either 50V or 25V for the vehicle and onboard systems - Low tether current to reduce conductor weight and transmission losses - Extremely low weight and compact packaging for the airborne converter The final input/output voltages, AC/DC architecture, continuous and peak power requirements, isolation requirements, tether specifications and thermal constraints will be established with the selected engineer.
