Power BI and SQL Analyst for KPI Dashboard and Reporting Stream Improvements

We are looking for a data analyst to improve and stabilize an existing business reporting stream. This is a short-term project focused on fixing current data issues, improving the data model, and making our KPI dashboards more reliable and useful. The analyst will work with existing business data and reporting materials rather than build an entirely new system. Main responsibilities: - Review the current reporting process, data sources, calculations, and dashboards - Clean and validate business data using SQL, Excel, and Power Query - Identify and correct issues in the existing data model and reporting stream - Improve DAX measures and KPI definitions where needed - Update or refine interactive dashboards in Power BI or Tableau - Analyze trends, exceptions, and performance drivers - Present clear findings and practical recommendations to stakeholders - Document the main fixes, calculations, and refresh process Required skills: - SQL - Excel - Power BI - Power Query - DAX - Data cleaning and validation - Data modeling - KPI design and data visualization - Business analysis and stakeholder communication Tableau experience is useful, particularly if parts of the existing reporting environment use Tableau.
