Premium Men's T-Shirt Tech Pack Designer Needed for Furne

Furne is developing a premium men's T-shirt and we're looking for an experienced apparel technical designer / tech pack specialist to create a detailed, factory-ready tech pack. Our design direction is inspired by the quality and refinement seen in premium contemporary menswear, with particular attention to fit, fabric hand-feel, neckline construction, drape, stitching, washing, and overall garment finishing. However, this will be an original Furne product with its own specifications and identity. This is not a basic graphic T-shirt project. We need someone who understands garment construction, knit fabrics, pattern development, grading, and apparel manufacturing. What We Will Provide We can provide: - Design/reference images - Our creative direction - Reference garments or measurements where available - Branding and artwork details - Desired fit and overall aesthetic Your role will be to translate these references into clear, precise production specifications that an apparel factory can use to develop consistent samples and production. Tech Pack Requirements The final tech pack should include: - Professional front and back technical flats - Detailed construction callouts - Complete POM measurement/specification chart - Graded size specifications and grade rules - Measurement tolerances - Fabric composition and specification - Recommended/specified GSM - Jersey and rib specifications - Neckline and collar construction - Seam and stitch specifications - SPI requirements - Seam allowances - Sleeve construction - Bottom hem construction - Wash, dyeing and finishing requirements - Complete BOM - Trims and labels - Branding/artwork placement - Colorways - Packaging specifications - Factory notes and production instructions Key Focus The T-shirt block, proportions, neckline, and overall fit are extremely important to us. We want a refined premium fit with clean construction and elevated finishing—not the proportions or construction typically found in generic promotional or blank T-shirts. Experience translating a physical or visual reference garment into accurate technical specifications will be a strong advantage. Sample Review Ideally, the selected designer should also be available to review the first factory sample and provide technical/fit corrections where necessary. This may include identifying issues with: - Body proportions - Neckline shape and depth - Sleeve length and opening - Shoulder placement - Hem position - Fabric behavior - Stitching/construction - Overall fit and balance Ideal Candidate You should have: - Professional experience creating production-ready apparel tech packs - Strong knowledge of men's T-shirt and jersey construction - Understanding of knit fabrics, GSM, rib specifications and fabric behavior - Patternmaking and garment fit knowledge - Ability to create accurate POM charts and grading specifications - Understanding of seams, stitches, SPI and tolerances - Experience working with apparel manufacturers/factories - Strong technical communication skills - Experience with premium fashion or contemporary menswear is preferred - Experience reverse-engineering or analyzing reference garments is a plus Please include examples of previous T-shirt, jersey, or menswear tech packs in your proposal.
