Privacy & Digital Health Attorney

United States Digital Health Privacy and Data Attorney We are seeking a United States based privacy and data attorney with specialist experience in digital health, consumer health technology and sensitive health information. We are developing a personalised digital health platform that will process multiple forms of consumer data. We require experienced legal guidance to ensure our application, website, data practices and consumer consent processes are appropriately structured for the United States market. The successful applicant will assess which federal and state privacy laws apply to our business model. This may include the FTC Act, the FTC Health Breach Notification Rule, HIPAA applicability, the California Consumer Privacy Act, state consumer health data laws, genetic privacy requirements and biometric information laws. The engagement will include drafting and reviewing our Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, Cookie Notice, health data consent language, genetic & biological data consent language and consumer data rights procedures. We also require advice on data collection, storage, retention, deletion, third party sharing, analytics, advertising technologies, international data transfers and breach response obligations. The attorney should also review our customer onboarding, account creation, consent and application workflows to ensure that legal notices and consent requests are presented at the correct points in the customer journey. We are looking for someone who can translate complex legal requirements into clear and commercially practical actions for our product, technology and management teams. Experience advising direct to consumer health platforms, genetic testing businesses, personalised wellness companies or health technology startups is highly desirable. Applicants must be licensed to practise law in at least one United States jurisdiction and should have demonstrated experience drafting digital health privacy documentation.
