Project Manager - Fire Sprinkler Company
Worldwide
Project Manager (Fire Sprinkler / BIM) Description: We're a UK-based fire sprinkler design company delivering BIM 3D modelling and 2D documentation for commercial, residential, and healthcare projects. We're hiring a Project Manager to run the day-to-day coordination of our sprinkler design projects — from kickoff through to final issue. This is a long-term, ongoing role for the right candidate. What you'll be doing: - Managing multiple fire sprinkler design projects simultaneously, from BIM coordination through to drawing issue - Coordinating a distributed design team — assigning tasks, tracking progress, resolving clashes/queries - Liaising directly with clients, architects, main contractors, and other MEP disciplines to keep programmes on track - Reviewing issue dates against client/contractor construction programmes and flagging gaps or risks early - Managing variations, RFIs, and scope changes — including tracking and building evidence for commercial claims where needed - Reviewing model/drawing issue registers for accuracy and completeness before external issue - Running or contributing to model review meetings and coordination calls - Keeping timesheets, resourcing, and programme trackers up to date and accurate We're looking for someone who: - Has genuine project management experience on fire protection, sprinkler, or wider MEP/fire engineering projects — you should understand sprinkler system design basics, coordination sequencing, and how fire protection fits into the wider BIM process - Has managed BIM-coordinated construction projects using CDEs (Asite, Aconex, ACC, or similar) and understands BS EN 12845, ISO 19650 workflows - Is comfortable managing remote, distributed teams across time zones - Has strong commercial awareness — understands variations, scope creep, and how to build a clear evidence trail - Communicates clearly and confidently in written and spoken English, with clients as well as designers - Is highly organised and can juggle multiple live projects without dropping details - Has a stable, fast internet connection, a reliable computer/dual-monitor setup, and a quiet, professional working environment for video calls - Can work UK business hours (or substantial overlap) To apply, please include: - A brief overview of your PM experience on fire protection/MEP/BIM-coordinated projects - Your internet speed (screenshot of a speedtest.net result) and your working setup (device, monitors) - Your available hours relative to UK time - One example of a time you caught a scope/variation issue early and how you handled it We review every application carefully — generic cover letters will be skipped.
