Proposal Reviewer - Public Works and Civil Engineering

Position: Proposal Reviewer - Public Works and Civil Engineering Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented, and experienced proposal reviewer to join our team. The firm already has an experienced proposal writer. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, commenting, redlining, and compliance checking written proposals in response to requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for information (RFI) related to public works and civil engineering. The proposals may be project specific or for on-call services. The proposal reviewer will work independently as well as with our proposal writer, project management, and administrative teams to develop high-quality proposals that meet the needs of cities, counties, water districts, and other municipalities. About Us: We are a Public Works Engineering Consulting firm specializing in: • Engineering Project Management • Program Management • Construction Management & Inspection • Staff Augmentation • Public Works Inspection Services Responsibilities: • Review Request For Proposals (RFPs), Request For Qualifications (RFQs) and SOQs • Identify the RFPs', RFQs' and SOQs' requirements • Assist in selecting the appropriate proposal template • Coordinate with the firm's Office Administrator and Proposal Writer • Review, proofread, and redline draft technical proposals • Ensure compliance with the RFP/RFQ/SOQ requirements, including: Page limitations, proposal organization/outline/formatting, submission deadlines and other requirements • Review grammar, clarity, and overall proposal quality • Perform one or more rounds of reviews prior to executive signature and submission Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in communications, English, business, civil engineering, or related field • 3+ years of experience in proposal reviewing/writing for public works and civil engineering projects, preferably in a consulting or engineering environment • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to write clear, concise, and compelling proposals for public works and civil engineering projects • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously for municipalities and government agencies • Familiarity with proposal management software and tools for public works and civil engineering projects • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, and project managers • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines for public works and civil engineering proposals
