Proposal Writer / RFP Specialist – Construction & Public Sector About MICS Mindful Integration of Construction Services (MICS) is a growing consulting firm supporting public infrastructure and construction projects through diverse business engagement, labor compliance, local worker hire, and Project Labor Agreement (PLA) administration. We are looking for an experienced Proposal Writer / RFP Specialist to help our team prepare clear, organized, and compelling proposals and RFP/RFQ responses. The ideal candidate is a strong writer who is comfortable reviewing solicitation requirements, developing proposal content, organizing information, and coordinating with team members to keep proposals moving. Experience using AI tools to support proposal writing and improve workflow efficiency is highly preferred. Experience with AI agents or AI-assisted workflows is a plus. This is a proposal writing role, not a software development or IT position. Key Responsibilities Write, edit, and review proposals, RFP/RFQ responses, SOQs, and related materials Review solicitation requirements and help ensure proposals are complete and responsive Develop clear and persuasive proposal content Gather and organize resumes, project information, and other proposal materials Help track proposal deadlines, follow-ups, and submissions Use AI tools to support research, writing, editing, and proposal preparation Help develop reusable proposal templates and content Support proposal and business development research as needed Ideal Qualifications Professional proposal writing and editing experience Experience with RFP/RFQ responses, SOQs, or similar proposals Strong written English and attention to detail Good organizational and research skills Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines Experience in construction, AEC, infrastructure, public-sector, or professional services is preferred Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar platforms Experience with AI agents or AI-assisted workflows is a plus When Applying Please include: A short summary of your proposal writing experience A few examples or samples of proposals, RFP/RFQ responses, or SOQs you have worked on Any experience with construction, infrastructure, public-sector, or professional-services proposals A brief note on how you use AI in your work Engagement: Remote
