*** About us *** QED Labs builds AI agents that automate repairs and maintenance for UK letting agents and block managers - triaging issues, chasing contractors, and keeping residents informed. Launched September 2025, built by operators who run ~2,500 rental units themselves, which is where the product was proven. Customers range from independent agencies to national groups trialling at scale. *** Why we're hiring *** Our founder fronts the company - demos, podcasts, inbound. He does not have time to produce as much content as needed. Your job is to turn his raw material (a weekly recorded 30-minute interview, voice notes, call transcripts) into publishable output that makes prospects trust us before and after our outbound reaches them. You are an executor, not a strategist: the deliverables below are the job. *** Monthly deliverables *** LinkedIn ghostwriting - 8–10 posts in the founder's voice, drafted from the weekly interview plus ad-hoc voice notes. Founder approves everything before it goes out. Case studies - 1 per month for the first 3 months. We arrange the customer interview; you attend, draft 600–800 words to our template, and produce a 1-page sales version. Trade press - 1 contributed article (~700–900 words) under the founder's byline, pitched and placed in UK lettings / block-management trade titles (Letting Agent Today, Property Industry Eye, The Negotiator, News on the Block, etc.). You draft the pitch and the piece. (You draft and pitch; a separate booking specialist handles volume follow-up and podcast scheduling.) Sales collateral polish - light editing of one-pagers and follow-up documents, ad hoc and capped. Experimenting with other social channels other than LinkedIn. *** Explicitly out of scope *** Email sequences (a separate specialist runs these), SEO/blog volume, paid ads, brand or rebrand work, website rebuild. *** Voice and quality bar *** Plain English for busy agency directors and block managers. Operator tone: specific numbers, real incidents, no hype. UK spelling. Anything that reads like generic AI output ("in today's fast-paced property landscape…") fails the bar. *** Must-haves *** 3+ years writing B2B content for SME / operator audiences (not enterprise whitepapers) Ghostwriting track record - named samples, or a credible account of NDA'd work Native-level UK English *** Strong pluses *** UK property, lettings, block management, or proptech background Trade-press bylines or existing editor relationships Comfortable working from voice recordings and transcripts *** Guardrails *** Founder signs off every published word References to our own managed portfolio or any affiliated companies use pre-approved wording only No customer names without written consent on file *** How to apply *** Start your proposal with the word MIKE (proposals without it are not read). Include: - Two relevant samples - One paragraph answering: "Which UK property trade publication would you pitch first for QED Labs, and what's the angle?" Shortlist step: paid test task, £120 fixed. We send a ~20-minute founder voice-memo transcript; you return 2 LinkedIn posts and a 150-word article pitch within 48 hours. We may run 2–3 candidates through the test in parallel and retain one. *** Commercials *** Month 1 pilot: fixed price for the full deliverable set.
