QuickBooks ProAdvisor Bookkeeper — Construction Industry

We’re seeking a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor with construction-industry bookkeeping experience for a part-time, long-term engagement. Responsibilities: - Maintain accurate, timely bookkeeping in QuickBooks - Categorize transactions and perform monthly bank/credit card reconciliations - Reconcile payroll entries from Gusto - Review financials, identify discrepancies, and maintain clean records - Prepare monthly financial reports - Participate in a monthly call to review financials and discuss issues - Help improve accounting processes as the business grows Current Accounting Stack: - QuickBooks — bookkeeping - Gusto — payroll - 1 checking account + 1 credit card - 120 transactions/month, expected to double in the coming months Requirements: - QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification - Bookkeeping experience with construction companies - Strong understanding of reconciliations, transaction categorization, and financial reporting - Detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive - Must be willing to use Upwork’s time tracker with screen recording - Available for a monthly financial review call CPA or CMA is a plus, as is experience with Gusto and project-based construction businesses.
