React Native Mobile App Developer

Description: We have a complete, working React-based prototype of every screen in the app — Goals, team messaging, calendar, video library, donations/fundraising, gear shop, and a full coach dashboard with role-based permission gating. It renders correctly and demonstrates every interaction, but it's built for design demonstration, not production — no React Native, no real navigation library, no real backend connection. We need this rebuilt as a real React Native/Expo app connected to the backend being built in parallel (Posting #1 and others). Scope: Convert the existing prototype's screens and interaction patterns into real React Native components with React Navigation Wire every screen to the real backend API as it becomes available (this will be iterative — backend and mobile app development should run in parallel with regular sync) Push notifications (respecting the granular per-category preference system already specified) Preserve the existing visual design system ("Mat & Chalk") — we'll provide the full design token reference Required experience: Strong production React Native experience, ideally with Expo Comfortable working from an existing, detailed visual/interaction reference rather than designing from scratch Experience building apps with genuinely complex, role-based conditional UI (this app shows meaningfully different screens and permissions to six different user roles) Bonus: experience with apps serving minors, or any COPPA-adjacent product experience Deliverables: App builds successfully for both iOS and Android via Expo, connects to the real backend, and matches the existing prototype's screens and flows.
